Recently, we have been working closely with traffic enforcement, and there has been an increase in drivers receiving fines for illegal parking. This includes parking in restricted zones, across driveways, on footpaths, or in ways that obstruct traffic or access for our neighbours and emergency services.

We ask all families to please plan extra time for drop-off and pick-up, and show courtesy to our local residents. These measures help keep our community safe, respectful, and accessible for everyone.

Thank you for your cooperation and ongoing support in helping us maintain positive relationships with our neighbours.

The event will begin at 6pm in Croft II Performance, with welcome talks covering: 

·         What A-Levels are really like 

·         How to choose the right subjects for you 

·         University and apprenticeship pathways 

·         Insights from a current Sixth Form student 

·         Reflections from a former Burgess Hill Girls student  

Taster lessons will then take place from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. 

During the evening you will also attend a session in the Learning Resource Centre (LRC), where refreshments will be available. You can also learn about scholarships, bursaries, careers and more.

Thank you for your overwhelming support this week with our Ofsted visit. The Lead Inspector took time to read out results of the parent survey along with some of the comments. We are so pleased that families support the school's mission to ensure that everyone is the best that they can be. We had such lovely messages of support and I want to thank everyone that wished us well during the 2 day inspection.

I cannot share too many details at this point in time, but I want to let you know that it was very positive and fair and reflects the excellence of our students and wider community. I am exceptionally proud of all the students who spoke so confidently to inspectors. It was noted that students were proud of their school and this shone through in abundance.

I also want to thank the staff and Governors of Chailey School. Every single member of our staff community came forward to show the school at its very best, and I look forward to being able to share the report with you all when it is published. We will take this moment to celebrate the strengths of our school and the children we serve, yet look forward to working towards making our school an even better place in which everyone can be the best that they can be. 

A key part of us making things even better for our students will be improving the provision we offer for sports at Chailey, can I ask as many people as possible to sign this petition and share it amongst our community:
