It is nonliving because if the branch is not connected to the tree it will start to get dried. Also, it could be living if is still connected to the tree.And it will not start grow if it id disconnected from the tree.

The branch would be nonliving, as it could not produce its own food, would die shortly after disconnection with a tree, and lives only on the tree. A critical factor of living things is growth as well, but the only growth that a branch might receive is fungal growth, and, if counted, the hollowing of the branch.

A branch is a non living thing because its part of tree, it also dead as the branch come off from the tree, and finally branches wont be able to grow back into a tree again.

If i see a branch on the ground i would think that it is nonliving because it fell from the tree on its own and it cannot grow anymore because its not a part of the tree.

If there was a branch on the ground this branch would've been nonliving because a branch needs the sun and it needs something to feed on and that is the tree that he was sticked on.That tree gave him energy so that he can grow leaves and food.

If i see a tree branch on the ground i would think it would be non living because the tree is alive but if a branch fell of it would be dead and so the branch will not grow.
