 Atticus v.s. the mob: One night before the trial Atticus sat outside of the jail that Tom Robinson was being held at. He knew that a mob of men were going to come to the jail and try to kill Tom Robinson. They pulled up to the jail and told Atticus to move or else they would make him and Atticus told them to do what they have to do but he is not getting out of the way of that door. As something is about to occur, Scout, Jem and Dill rrun up to Atticus. They ask him why he is there and what's going on. Atticus keeps on telling them to go home but they aren't listening. Finally, Scout realizes one of the mob members is Mr. Cunningham and asks him to tell Walter she says hey. Mr. Cunningham finally rekas from his tough guy attitude and says that he would most definitley do so.
