During the coronavirus pandemic, many businesses should be worried. This is a very difficult time for many people and many businesses because many owners can't keep their restaurants open. According to a statistic, nearly 48 percent of all small businesses in the U.S. will be closed temporarily, while 1/5 will be closing permanently.

Coronavirus makes many people stay at home including some business owners. For the businesses, this means many customers cannot travel to get food out. Overall, keeping your business open is a competition between may other small restaurants. This is the main reason that so many businesses are saying goodbye and unfortunately, some won't reopen.

In March during the huge outbreak in cases of Coronavirus, the Senate passed a Relief effort of about 349 billion dollars to loan to small businesses. The businesses did not need to pay the money back. This was the first sign of hope for many business owners. However, there was a loophole.

There was a section of the bill that allowed many larger businesses to take advantage of small businesses. The bill was directed towards businesses that had fewer than 500 employees which also accounted for newly founded larger businesses. The large businesses took over half of the relief money and the small businesses were again left in the dark. A good example of this tragedy happened in Colorado; a restaurant called Ruth's Chris, which qualified for relief money and took 20 million dollars even though they have more than 150 locations in the U.S. and made a revenue of a whopping 468 million dollars. Many small restaurants are furious, and they should be, but there is still hope.

There are many things that small businesses could do to stay open, and they don't require too much effort. The easiest way of getting more people to come to your restaurants is advertising. A good way to advertise for take-out and delivery through these times is social media. Remember that everyone has a heart, and many people will miss a part of the local community if your business goes out of business permanently.

Many people still believe that food transportation is very dangerous during quarantine, and many people fear this fact. While we do not know much about Coronavirus and it's mysterious ways, we do know that there isn't any evidence that Coronavirus can't spread through food. This was a statement directed by the CDC and FDA research. They claim that the virus can only be spread from coughing and sneezing, as it is a respiratory illness. So, it is safe for restaurants to keep delivering.

Stay positive! Quarantine will not last forever, and we will always get through anything that challenges us. If every small restaurant gives up, then many communities will be ripped apart and nobody can let this happen. It is up to the customers and the bussiness owners to work together to make the safest possible food and attract customers. Here is a video that will hopefully make poeple realize that there is still hope for small restaurants during the quarantine.

Having a repuation for good food and safe food is very important if you want more customers to feel safe and buy your food. Here are some tips to keeping food you ordered safe.
1.) Make sure to refridgerate food if not eaten right away. Bacteria can begin multiply if the food is 40-140 degrees and left like ths for at least 2 hours.
2.) Make sure to always check the temperature of the food and to make sure the boxes the food is put in is decontaminated.
3.) Always make sure food is washed and clean to handle. Also make sure chefs are wearing proper gloves to handle food. Additionally, utensils should be washed about 20 seconds before using them according to the CDC.
4.) Avoid keeping foods together to avoid cross contamination if one type of food is infected with germs, no other type of food could get infected with the same germs.

Ways Customers can support their local restaurants

A good tip that I suggest to many customers is to take the time to make an order around the community and have food from a small restaurant at least once per week. That extra money that you spend each week can really help small businesses stay in business and continue to keep their reputation. Another good way to support these small businesses is to donate to them as stated by many news corporations.

As quarantine starts to end

Restaurants need to be very cautious when quarantine starts to end. Being very cautious with food preparation will be very useful as they have always been doing since the beginning of this outbreak. Keeping social distancing in the restaurant and not keeping it too busy will also be very beneficial. If Coronavirus breaks out in the restaurant, it could be even worse than it has been for the best a few months already. There is a good chance that your business could get shut down again and maybe permanently if this happens. That is why food handling and delivery need to be very similar to what is now as quarantine ends.
