I agree with this because Stanley is the men of the house, so he feels empowered to do whatever he wants and have control over everything, especially women, leading this to the mistreatment Stella and Blanche receive. We can see this in the following quote from Scene 8

“Stella: Your face and fingers are disgustingly greasy. Go and wash up and then help me clear the table.
[He hurls a plate to the floor.]
Stanley: That’s how I’ll clear the table!
[He seizes her arm.]
Stanley: Don’t ever talk that way to me! (...) What do you think you are? A pair o queens? Remember what Huey Long said - 'every Man is a King! And I am the king around here, so don't forget it! [He hurls a cup and saucer to the floor.]"

This quote is showing how Stanley takes control even thought Stella tries to avoid it. He evenquote Huey Long, saying explicitly that he has control over everything just because he is the man.

Not only the words but the actions Stanley make show that he wants to show the power that as a man, he had acquired. For example hurling the plates to the floor.

Tennessee Williams also employs sounds as the locomotive to give Stanley the power and masculinity he shows, because when this sounds come out, it seizes the voices representing the way people around Stanley are oppressed.
