A long, long time ago, there was nothing — no stars, no planets, not even space itself! Suddenly, a HUGE explosion called the Big Bang happened! This explosion wasn’t like a firecracker. It was the birth of the entire universe! Everything started from one tiny, super hot point.

Expanding

The explosion made everything spread out super fast! The universe began to grow bigger and bigger, like a balloon being blown up. At this point, it was very hot and the universe was filled with tiny particles (tiny bits of matter that make up everything).

Forming

After a long time, the atoms began to gather together to form the first stars. These stars created galaxies, big groups of stars, which started to form all over the universe.
