The ‘Kind’ project makes us kinder!

Students of Ari Private Middle School (Ankara,Turkey) and G.Bartoleno Middle School (Livorno, Italy) hosted a virtual meeting on February 29, 2024, within the eTwinning ‘Kind’ Project.

Students talked about why kindness in school is important and what we can do to promote more kind actions for students, teachers, and the school community.

The international collaboration will expand to reach out to Germany, the USA and Mexico throughout the educational year.

Within the scope of our international collaboration with the theme of "Kindness and Peace" with the students of Munich International School, Germany, we brought together Kathryn Berkman, one of the educators of Munich International School, with our 8th grade students. 

At the meeting, our students conveyed to the German educator that the theme of empathy, kindness and peace is the priority of the 40th year of quality education in our school; They shared the history of our school as well as the national and international projects and programs carried out.

In line with Article 16 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, titled "peace, justice and strong institutions" and Article 17, titled "Partnerships for global goals", we will continue to participate in both the international online meetings we host and webinars extending to Italy, the USA and Mexico.

Within the scope of the GlobalCoLab “Turkish Youth for Peace” Center and “Kind” Project. Middle school students hosted an online seminar to project partners Escuela Preparatoria Oficial Núm 370 (Mexico) and Munich International School (Germany) students.

These results were collated using the SciVal analytics tool to map publications stored on the Scopus database to the SDGs. The graph above shows the total number of UCC publications identified as contributing to SDG 3; the total number of citations received for UCC SDG 3 publications; the average number of citations received per UCC SDG 3 publication; the average field-weighted citation impact of UCC SDG 3 publications (this indicates how the number of citations received by an article compares to the average or expected number of citations received by other similar publications); the percentage of international collaborations in UCC SDG 3 publications; the CiteScore (this indicates the percentage of publications in the top 10% of journals indexed by Scopus); and how SDG 3 ranks for the number of publications in UCC. It is important to note that this analysis is not wholly representative of all of our research community's publications, as the Scopus database does not cite all publications from all disciplines, particularly the disciplines of arts, humanities, social sciences and law. Figures correct as of 12th October 2023.
