I had unity with the pencils next to the ping pong ball, because they were all pencils, but different sizes. Rhythm was also included by the pens and highlighters circling around repetition with the changecolors. The movement was there by the pens and highlighters pointing in different ways and also the colors go in a rainbow in a circle. The pattern here is that the pens and highlighters are all almost evenly spread out in a pattern. The contrast here is the ping pong paddles are half red and half black. I included contrast with the rocks and seashells against the grass and sticks. I included emphasis by using purple and yellow flowers to lead the viewer's eyes to the center of the work. I included movement by placing the rocks, seashells, and yellow flowers around the edge of the piece-leading the viewer's eyes around the piece. The first principal of design is unity, and this sculpture shares many similarities from one side to the other. They seems to belong together in some way too. Additionally, the emphasis here are the two different colored ping pong balls in each side. The rhythm here is the direction pointing to the middle and two ping pong balls and the colors and size change in this sculpture. The movement here is like the rhythm. The pens and pencils are all pointing to the middle or the ping pong balls. The balence here is that both sides have the same thing, just different types, like the black and yellow to the red and white. The contrast here mainly are the ping pong balls.
