I've chosen Jackie Robinson, Jackie Robinson was born January 31, 1919, Cairo, Georgia, U.S, He died October 24, 1972, Stamford, Connecticut . He was the first Black baseball player to play in the American major leagues during the 20th century. On April 15, 1947, Robinson broke the decades-old “color line” of Major League Baseball (MLB) when he appeared on the field for the National League Brooklyn Dodgers. He played as an infielder and outfielder for the Dodgers from 1947 through 1956.

FDR established this military-styled program in 1933 for the general health of America's public lands, forests, and parks. By doing this it was part of the recovery plans for the Great Depression since this program helped single men around the ages of 18 to 25 to work. Although most of the job's rewards were simply a bed to sleep on and food for most that was enough especially since for many this was their first job because of the unemployment rates. The average pay could look like about 30 dollars an hour but a lot of them would keep 5 and send the 25 remaining to their families.

As a whole, the (CCC) program was pretty effective at the time since it gave people who were unskilled, colored, or veterans a chance to have a way of living and also help out with the recovery of our lands. To this day their labor is still relevant due to their efforts consisting of building things like wildfire refugees, fish-rearing facilities, water storage basins, and animal shelters. Criticism mostly came from the trade union since they didn't like the organized labor feeling very military controlled. In modern-day the programs are more like community service in protecting billions of trees, soil erosion, and flooded rivers. Many national parks today attempt to keep the legacy that they've already built.

I chose Jackie Robinson because he broke the color barrier before racial segregation in the MLB began to come to an end. Jackie Robinson went on to win many different achievements. He was the first African American to winning the batting title, to win Most Valuable Player, and to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Which in the end inspired the lives of multiple african americans
