Develop your child's early listening, speaking and communication skills through simple activities both indoors and outside.
Use rhymes, books, songs and play to focus on sounds and words, shapes, colours and numbers.
Share experiences and ideas with your tutor and others in the group while the children are taken care of by Family Learning's experienced childcare team, then try things out as a group before taking activities home.

This course will help towards building confidence and awareness about keeping your children safe online. From learning about applying filters on your browser, setting up children's access accounts on streaming services including YouTube, understanding the dangers of children using adults mobile phone or tablets that have one click payment set up and using games consoles to play online games and therefore having contact with unknown people.

SEND CENTRAL is York’s Family Hub that specialises in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a hub that families can seek advice and information about what’s available in York when they have children and young people who have additional needs, any age from 0 to 25.

SEND CENTRAL provides an essential breathing space for children, young people, and their families. A warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where families can go for information, advice, and support on all aspects of SEND and where they can find out more about the Local Offer in York.

This is a place where families can meet multiple professionals and agencies all under one roof, meet other parents and carers of children and young people with SEND and where they and their child can access a range of information about events and activities.
