However, this contact with technology can have negative effects on our mental health and quality of life.

One way to reduce contact with technology is to set limits. This can involve setting specific times of day when electronic device use is allowed and dedicating time to off-screen activities, like reading a book or enjoying nature.

By setting limits, practicing unplugging, and looking for off-screen activities, we can cultivate a healthier relationship with technology and enjoy a more balanced and satisfactory life.

Sebastian Mansilla

According to a 2015 study by Deloitte, over 40 percent of people check their phones within five minutes of waking up during the morning, and nearly half check them. These irregularities aren't healthy for us, and that's the reason here in this text we're going to find some ways to avoid the constant use of smartphones. First, plan breaks where it's just you and your hobbies. Things you enjoy and can help you break that need. Add time to your routine and pay attention to what's happening around you.

On the other hand, that's perfect to mention because we always procrastinate by saying things like "Tomorrow I'll sleep at this hour..." then it doesn't happen because we are constantly through social media. What I'm trying to say is that to take control of us, we have to unplug our phones before bed. If we change this habit, our body and brain must be thanked. The blue wavelength light from our screens interrupts the production of melatonin, which is known as the darkness hormone and the one that provides our brain signs to let our body relax and take sleep. To sum up, bad habits are negative in our lives, and one that we have adopted is the constant need to get our devices to take control of us. Change your reality, and let me tell you that you'll see yourself less likely to look at your phone.
