the ocean trade route and trans Saharan trade route had many differences such as one of them was on land and the other was on the sea and the ocean trade route was Asia, India, Africa. Which made the ocean trade route bring more goods to the trade such as rice, spices such as pepper, books, weapons. another difference is that the ocean trade route would travel on ships which used these winds named monsoon winds and sailors of dhwos were able to predict when these winds would happen having these ships they were able to carry a lot more goods then just on a camel on the trans Saharan routes. also on the trans saharan trade route they wouldnt carry bulk unlike the ocean trade route but mostly carried the same goods but one carried it in bulk. Also both of the trade routes spread of the islamic culture . then both routes were networks that traded gold, ivory, salt and other goods
