Paul Rand

Creating the replica of his work was difficult because I didn’t know how to make hearts or how fill in the shapes with color.

Pattern Making

This project was pretty easy to complete. I thought that making a pattern would be difficult at first but once we started learning how to actually make it, it was very easy. My practice pattern isn’t as good as my final pattern because I was still learning how to use command J properly.

Donut Design

This project was very easy once I figured out how to paint on top of the donut. The hardest part was coming up with ideas to decorate the donut. Overall I liked this project because it was easy and fun to do. My favorite donut I made was the sunset donut because those are my favorite colors.

Logo Parody

This project was very simple once I figured out how to use the pen tool. At first I didn’t have it on the shape option so it wasn’t working but once I changed it, it was super easy. The only struggle I had was finding a font that was similar when I couldn’t use the letter already in the logo.

This project was pretty simple. We got to use a lot of creative liberty. I liked how we were giving a description of what the client would want and we got to interpret that however we wanted and create a logo.

This project was fun because we had a lot of freedom to make the flier look however we wanted while still displaying the correct information.

This project was pretty hard because Mrs. Carmack wasn’t here to help me figure out how to create the zombies. If she was here I like that this project would have been more fun and less challenging.

I liked working with a real client because I got to get the exact information that the client was looking for.

Movie Poster Parody

This project went pretty well. I had images I knew would work well for the movies I choose. I was good at finding fonts that were similar. If I were to redo this project I would take more time on cutting out each image and making sure it was well rounded and not ridgid. If I had more time to work on this I think I could have made them much better.

This project was very difficult for me. I didn’t know how to change the colors to make them better match and when I tried to do this I would end up making the colors way different. I didn’t know how to blend two layers together to make them look more like one.

My food truck was a donut food truck so it was very easy to make the logo because we had already had a lesson over making donuts.

This part of the food truck design was pretty difficult because using the paint bucket didn't work every time so I would have to individually color each part.

The menu was the second easiest part of this project because I decided to go with rectangles to section out the menu.

DIY Photoshop Week

This project was pretty easy because I just had to watch a youtube video and follow the directions. I learned new things I had no idea I could do on photoshop.

Reflection

I was scared to start this class because I had never tried graphic design before but it wasn't as difficult as it seemed. I learned a lot of different ways to edit photos and create my own designs. Using youtube on DIY weeks was my favorite part of the class because I had a lot of freedom. Most of the projects were pretty easy but some of them took a lot of time. I would recommend this class to people who are wanting to learn more about photoshop.
