A search of his vehicle revealed two firearms in his trunk, so police searched his cell phone and found that he was apart of a gang. This gang was the cause of a shooting with another gang. He was arrested for attempted murder, possession of firearms, and more. </p></li><li><p>Was the evidence admitted at trial from Riley's cell phone discovered through a search that violated his Fourth Amendment right to be free from unreasonable searches?</p></li><li><p>SCOTUS ruled 9-0 for Riley</p></li><li><p>defendants rights were protected </p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Savana Redding, an eighth grader at Safford Middle School was strip-searched because of a tip given by another student that Ms. Redding might have ibuprofen on her person in violation of school policy. The question the court had was the search reasonable to the circumstances.  The supreme court ruled that Mrs. Reddings rights were violated. Mrs. Reddings rights were violated.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Summary: James Acton was a student athlete at Vernonia High School when him  and his parents said they would not consent to being drug tested, challenging the 'Student Athlete Drug Policy". The school would not let James play in his games unless him and his parents consented to him getting a drug test. The Acton's took this case to the higher court.</p><p><br/></p><p>Issue/Question: Does random drug testing of high school athletes violate the search and seizure of the 4th amendment.</p><p><br/></p><p>SCOTUS ruling: No, the rights were not not violated because students in a school environment have less leisure than a free adult. Vaughn was then arrested for driving with a revoked license.
