Creation of Israel - May 14th, 1948

After the ottoman empire lost WWI, then the British revived a mandate to manage Palestine. the British promised a country for the Palestinians, and that's when the Balfour declaration comes into play.

British Mandate of Palestine - April 20th, 1920

Ottoman Empire Rule/Failure - rule: 1903 fail: 1917

After WWI, they started to go downhill and helped conquer the Ottoman Empire, and turkey(the new name of the country) witched governments after the war. But, the Ottoman Empire stood for another five years until they failed altogether.

Six Day War - 1967

Suez Crisis - 1956

Yitzhak Rabin Assassination - November 4th, 1995

Yitzhak Rabin was the prime minister of Israel, he was assassinated at a peace rally in Tel Aviv. He was killed by two guys who got along with the Palestinians. His death left the world in shock and created divisions in Israeli society.

Oslo Accords - 1993

They were a landmark in the peace between Israel and the PLO which involved talks in Oslo, and it ended in recognition Between Israel and the PLO. The accords gave Palestinians new rights.

Madrid Conference - 1991

The Madrid Conference wanted to promote peace in the Middle east, it brought a bunch of countries together providing a a platform for them to talk about things and go over issues with each other, in hopes to find a result to stop the conflict.

Annapolis Conference November 7th, 2007

Iranian hostage crisis Nov 4, 1979

During the Iranian Revolution, A group of Iranian students took charge in the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. They took 52 citizens hostage. The Iranian students wanted the Shah of Iran in exchange for the hostages. This caused major problems between the U.S. and Iran.

Munich massacre, Sept 5, 1972

this was a terrorist attack on an Israelite Olympic team members. this was the first Olympics held there since 1936, when Hitler used the Olympics as a distraction of what he was doing. there was a group of Palestinians that were in kahoots with the black September group. the group was kidnapping people and taking them hostage from a live new broadcasting area.

Lebanon War June 6th, 1982

This war began when Israel launched a military operation against the PLO and other groups in Lebanon. this war went on for months and Israeli forces ended up occupying southern Lebanon. It had a deep effect on Lebanon because of the amounts of death and destruction.

Partition War August 16th, 1947

The partition war was when Palestinians were forced to migrate out of the, and other countries rushed in and took over. After removing all of the Palestinians, they made borders where Palestinians couldn't get in, and that made them mad.

Yom Kippur War October 6th, 1973

This is the fourth Arab-Israel war. This was initiated by Egypt and Syria, the US and the Soviet Union got involved after. but after Egiypt and Syria attacked Israel, it caused many changes to the middle east. it gave more opportunities for peace all around, but there is still conflicts aswell.
