We make soil which we then use to plant crops such as corn, lettuce, tomatoes, and more. Not only that, but for a while now we have also been keeping our own recycling bins for paper, glass, tin can, and plastic. I am a person who is very fond of air conditioning so I challenged myself to try not to use it as much and instead use the fan.   1. I open the windows while it is cool outside (in the morning) and turn off the AC.
  2. I try to not leave the fridge open too long.
  3. I remind everyone in my family really frequently to turn off the AC and lights if they are not using them (especially my sister, I also tell her to open the curtains instead of turning on the lights).
  4. We also re-use (soda) cans/jars/thick plastic. 
  5. I (used to) ride my bike to school (I said 'used' to because of covid-19) and to citymart and just going around with my friends, or I would just walk instead. 
  6. Every few days I plant a new seed or just check up on the older ones. So far we are growing eggplants, tomatoes, herbs (not from here), basil, pumpkin, flowers, beans (that sort of died, I think because it wasn't the right season), and soon I will plant mint and some more flowers.
  7. I recycle food waste products (bokashi) and turn it into soil from fermentation. 
  8. We use re-usable bags (we have quite a few citymart bags cuz sometimes we forget to bring it and have to buy more bags).
This probs doesn't count but I offer emotional support and hugs to my dog when there's thunder/lighting cuz he gets scared (started a few days ago).
