I am trustworthy because in my current job I am responsible for cleaning dishes and getting them ready for the customers and I am also responsible for preping food and plates ready for the customers.

I am committed because I still attend the same course in college and have been working the my pub for 6 months I believe this shows I am committed because starting our there it was difficult to learn and remember all the plates but I have persevered and now remember everything.

Script 1 I have reviewed my skills from last term and the skills I think I need I have nailed down to three skills that I need to improve on. Time management Organisation And I would say manage distractions I need to improve my time management because I would spend hours on one project making it perfect and then the second project I would have no time for. I need to improve my organisation skills because in the last term I had some work on paper, some on my memory stick and some on my iPad. I need to manage my distractions because as it gets later in the day I start to loose interest and get distracted by friends.

In today's lesson at the start we went through what qualities are needed to make a good employee, after lunch we got given a task to make a mind map on a university course and what qualifications you need where it is how many ucas points need etc... another mind map was work experience we have found for march and what you will be doing the cost and travel etc... And to make a flow chart on the university course. after that we has to do a table and write about the drawbacks and benefits of getting a job.

Attendance/Punctuality to lessons-I have attended all my lessons this week but turned up late to one because I wasn't sure what class I was in

Research and analysis skills- I did a lot of research into the jobs around the area and different universities that I have an interest in. One course I found today I have a big interest in and believe that I have a good chance of getting into the university.

Confidence in verbal and written communication- I contribute also in group work task and sometime in the main lesson, I don't have great confidence in my written communication because sometimes I have trouble working things.

Organisation skills/ achieving deadlines- I am trying to improve my organisation skills this term but in the last term my organisation skills were terrible, also my deadline skill isn't the best but can be definitely better than what it is now.

Identify what you need to improve this week- I am going to try and improve my deadline skill and having more confidence in speaking out in class.

Both TV and Radio regulate under the same guidelines as BBC.

TV and radio have many things that overlap for example, both have to keep in mind what material they are putting out there. They have to keep the bad lanuage to a minimum if possible at certain times. From maybe 3-5pm the radios have to keep bad lanuage down because parents are picking up there kids from school and for TV they would need to play clean material from maybe 3:30 to 7 because that's when kids are at home and are watching TV.

After the peak times they also need to watch out for what they are saying and putting out there, that don't want to say or do anything that will offend religions, genders or specific social groups

I believe I contributed to the team well because I was told to a task and I completed it like I was told. I believe I had good communication With the team and good team work. But I wasn't to confident presenting my results in front of the class which could be a skill I can develop.

What would you like to do in future?

I would like to film documentaries or any type of film

Summarise your current skills and attributes / mind-set qualities?

I am good with camerawork and photography.
I am quite patience when I need to be, I feel like this would help me in the field because I would need to wait out for that perfect shot.

What steps have you taken to research jobs? Which sources were helpful – why?

I went onto jobsite.com and found a couple jobs being a backup cameraman which is a start to be coming a proper cameraman.
These jobs were helpful. Because I have me a skill to what would make a good cameraman

Which were not helpful – why?

A website that was not useful was a website that made you sign up and pay a subscription to look at jobs, this was very disappointing because some of the job description sounded very interesting but you couldn't look into the skills required with having a subscription.

What career progression routes do you think you may consider?

I am going to work my way up to being a camera man. It all depends to what is a valuable at the time I start to look.
But I have been given an opportunity to fly out to Africa and film out there with my Dads buisness was partner

What CPD (continual professional development) will you need to do? How? Costs? timescales? problems?

Where have you done (will you do) your 30 hrs work experience? How has/will work experience benefited you future goals? transferable skills?

I will doing my work experience at discovery communications with my dads work partners doing a wide range of acivities.

What further education will / might you pursue in future? Where? What steps do you need to take?

I would like to go to university and possible do a filmmaking course, I have researched some universities whih look and sound interesting but I would still like to look around at more to get a wider perspective.

A benefit of going to discovery is that there are more chances for me to learn more stuff and I have a proper look into what the real media life is like. A problem I encountered was trying make sure that I could come in on the specific week. Another small problem is that my wardrobe consist of joggers and t shirts so I am going to have to go out and buy suitable clothes for the work space.
I found it quite easy to find courses and jobs on my certain aspect but the one thing that ws hard to find was a good apprenticeship
The information I have found is useful because some of the universitys I have found sound very interesting and are definitely a possibility in the future. I will hopefully do a university course on filming and then I will look around for a job that I could do some filming.

lMost of the feedback seemed quite positive which is a good start for the future. I was good at maintaining eye contact with the interviewer and developing my ideas. To improve I need to sit up straight and have good posture to make myself look more professional, also use more power verbs.

I am not self motivated to get all of the work done so it is impacting me when the deadline gets closer. I will try to achieve my deadlines by doing the work at home and by coming in on my study days. I need to complete my work on time and stay focused when doing so.

You spoke clearly so it was easy to understand what you were saying.

I have not been effective at achieving my targets but am going to be more effective in the future. The reason i have not achieved my targets is because i haven't been motivated but i am going to improve on this later. I will definitely complete my work by next week for every unit if i am behind on work i will stay in on Tuesdays and try to make it in on Fridays i am am not still doing work when i am on my last few units. I feel like i have improved on my communications because i feel more confident in feeding back my research and ideas.

Work experience was one of the best things i have ever done. Everyone was so friendly and really helped me out when i needed it. I took part in many tasks and also got to observe on professionals working. Some of the tasks i did was preview a new documentary that they are releasing and write what was good about it what was bad about it and how it changed my perspective. The documentary was called race to extinction and it was all about how we are destroying nature with all of our factories and CO2 emission that are being released. Also it was about how the problem with illegal food like whale.shark fin soup and elephant. After watching it it really made me think about it. I also got to watch an editor edit a program and make the show a certain duration so it can be aired and then i watched another editor edit the audio so it meets the right guidelines to be aired. I visited CBS news and had a tour around there along with visiting the discovery channel broadcasting zone. I also did a lot more which was just as enjoyable. I used skills all throughout the week i had to use my understanding when watching the editors and when having the tours around the different stations but some of the stuff they were saying was going straight over my head and it really proves how smart some of the people are that work in these industries. I also spoke really politely and tried to show my dads collogues that i am professional.

This is my website from Unit 7. I think this shows professionalism because i focused really hard to make it original and to show who i am. I tried to put as much creative content in the website as possible but not to much to overwhelm whoever is viewing it. I used perseverance, concentration and determination. I persevered to overcome a problem that i encounter and swore to myself that i wouldn't move on unless i finished i overcame the problem. i concentrated a lot to focus only on the website and not get distracted by friends. I showed determination because i was really focused in getting this done because i think that if i finish this to a good professional standard i can update it in the future and take it to future interviews because its different and shows what type of person i am.
