Dreadlocks are made by using gel and has a long process and you must twist your hair while using the gel and to end it off you have to use clips. With Sister Locks all you have to do is just use a tool and inner lock it (you can also use oil to grease the scalp as you use it. Sister locks takes a while to do when you first get them just like dreads they are not easy to FIRST put in. They have a quicker way when you first put them in. When I first got mines done, I have sister locks, it took a less time than I thought but depending on the size you want them it can take less time. Mines took 3 days because they were small. Sister Locks and Dread Locks allows you to throw away the combs.
