This product involves Blessed With Joolz, a little boutique based in Adelaide. The target audience of my product is female teenagers and women for they don't stock male clothing. I believe that with this video It could promote the store very well. I want to make it look alternative, colourful and through in many ideas as possible so consumers can see how to manage the clothes and that their could be all different styles. It could potentially bring in a younger crowd for people these days are likely to purchase online. I've already consulted the owner of the boutique so she has allowed me to film in the store. Models chosen to wear the stores products have also been consulted and know the criteria.
During the research side of this promotional video I will need to consult with the owner of the store to be able to film any details that she will want to be shown to promote her store ideally to how she visualises it.

The importance of this video is benefit not only the store itself but customer wants and needs.
When owning a boutique, it essential in this generation to be apart online. It's now the number of followers on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter, rather than your experience necessarily, that can secure you a top job (Hope, 2017).

With this promotional video, it will be a good opportunity to get cheeky. Clothing will be displayed in little snippets, and the detailing of the products will be briefly displayed, almost like a tease, so consumers/customers can gather a sense of what the boutiques aura is. When reaching why online is such an essential part of fashion in this generation it was said that with social media it’s a more creative way to showcase your ideas without giving to much away so people keep coming back for more. "They don't reveal too much. What we see is highly curated. Yes, fashion houses are using social media to engage with their fans, but it's in a very controlled way." Controlled or not, she says it's effective, bringing in a new, typically younger audience than the customers who use a brand's website or shops. "It's a walking, living magazine," she says. "People think 'oh that's what it looks like with a denim skirt'”. This is how I intend to film my promotional video, a tease of the boutiques products.
http://www.bbc.com/news/business-35483480

Warm colors often evoke feelings of happiness, optimism and energy.
Red
Red is the warmest and most dynamic of the colours and can triggers opposing emotions. If you want to draw attention to a design element, use red.
Orange
Orange enhances a feeling of vitality and happiness. Orange is great for a call to action to buy or subscribe to a product.
Yellow
Yellow is perhaps the most energetic of the warm colours. . Accents of yellow help give your design energy and will make the viewer feel optimistic and cheerful
Cool Colours
Cool colours include green, blue, and purple. Purple is often used to help spark creativity as it’s a mixture of blue (calm) and red (intense).
Green
Green is the easiest on the eyes and should be used to relax and create balance in a design.
Blue
blues are great for corporate designs because it helps give a professional feel.
Purple
Incorporate purple to make a design look more luxurious.
Neutral colours
Neutral colours include black, gray, white, tan and brown.

Throughout my promotional video music will be added to convey a specific vibe being quirky and fun. After some researching music in films is highly effective. It creates tension, elicits emotion and is undoubtedly one of the most important aspects of the experience (Donnelly 2001). Background music can do wonderful things for your video. It can help create emotion, drive the pace and flow, and even hide pesky audio edits. (Lavigne, 2017)
If the volume is too high, the music will overpower the spoken narrative of your video. If background music is too low, it can paradoxically draw attention to itself by making the viewer strain to hear it. The goal of background music to invisibly assist your video, not create a distraction.
The sources used to give me a better understanding , were extremely useful sources for it helped me to design my video.
To make my promotional video the most effective it can be, I needed to find a quirky song which related to the theme of the video being girls and fashion. A slowed down version of a song became evident that it would be effective, being less of a distraction from the message of the video. The song chosen after some researching was ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ from Cyndi Lauper.

Donnelly, Kevin (ed.) When I first started preparing to create the video I knew exactly how I wanted it to be, imagining the footage in my head, being theme, colour, music and fashion. Creating a promotional video based on a small boutique to increase customer income. The activities throughout creating my online journal was extremely helpful as I treated it like a blog to help with the progression of my thoughts, ideas and what I aspired the video to turn out like. Throughout the research stage I focused on the importance of online, the importance of colour and the importance of music for these three aspects together can create a successful short film as studied.
</sup>

 I found that researching about the importance online assisted me to finding the perfect target market for the promotional video, as I spoke about how important online platforms are being in this generation.
</sup>

Researching the importance of colour, helped me to understand that colours are powerful psychological triggers and how each colour represents a different type of mood/change. When creating my online journal, I wrote how I wanted my film to be quirky and alternative with lots of colour. Because I used many colourful garments throughout filming, a simple white wall seemed like the best option for my film for, it makes it less busy and easy on the eye and the garments will stand out more which is the purpose of the video.
</sup>

Researching the importance of music, I found wasn’t that helpful for I already had chosen a song before filming.

When creating my video, I will make sure to focus on specific colours being simple backgrounds, specifically white walls with plants to maintain that urban alternative theme without overpowering the garments. A model will be selected to show off the garments throughout the video, her role is to be herself and provide a quirky and fun vibe to match the music of the video being, ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’. This film hopefully stands by its required target market.
</sup>
