I have changed the language of my phone to English during one week.

The difficulty that I have found has been when I went to the settings, some of the words I did not know very well what their meaning was and I had to look for them, but otherwise I have not had any problem because it has also helped me.

I've learned some words that  I didn't know from settings like personal hotspot that means punt d’acces personal, storage that means  emmagatzematge or keyboard that means teclat.

In my experience, I think it has been good to have the mobile in English, even though I already had it in English for a while and I think I'll leave it because it's a good way to learn more unknown vocabulary and improve the language.

There has really been nothing that has cost me, since I am already used to the uses that I make of the mobile without the need to read anything.

I have had the mobile in English more than once, but it is true that this time I have given it more importance, for example, I was trying to understand the notifications of some headlines that I received.

I doubt very much that it will be the last time that I use the mobile in English, although I am also varying with Catalan and Spanish. And I think that it can be a good way to apply English in something of more daily use, even if it is just reading it.

I didn’t really have any difficulties, I already knew everything since I basically remember everything in Spanish, plus the apps that I usually use don’t really use too technical words.

I have learned some words from the settings like haptics and display.

In my opinion this project was fine, it wasn’t difficult at all and it was only for a week. Even though it was kinda annoying the fact that the corrector corrected some Spanish words.

Above all, I had difficulties to search apps, because their names were in English. For example, when I went to open the app to record the voice, to do the task Oral Reading, I didn’t find the app, and I was trying names until I find it. Also, I had to search meanings that some words that I didn’t understand.

Thanks to this exercise, I checked that I can learn a lot of basic words in English that I never understood before, even so, sometimes I knew the meaning of things because I was used to reading them in Catalan.

I have decided, that I'm going to leave the mobile in English, because it seemed a fun way to learn new concepts.

Thought it would be difficult for me to adapt to this change, but not really, since apart from the fact that the words are not very complicated, I always use my mobile in Spanish, so I know what it means just by seeing a symbol, for example in configuration.

I have learned some new words, especially in the configuration section, for example digital well-being, special functions...
-Other comments
It didn't cost me much, there were just a few words I didn't understand, and I think I could leave it in English to learn more.

I learnt some technical settings names, and some words that I didn't know.

In my experience I have not liked this change, I have been very stressed, but I think it will do me good when it comes to expanding my vocabulary.

The main problem I had was that when i wwas going to open an app I couldn't find it because I wanted to search for it in browser and I didn't remember that is now in English.

I didn't learn anything special because most of the time I was looking for the app by the image on it, not the words.

I think that changing the language is a good form to learn new vocabulary only if it is long term , because it had been a short time and it had not given me time to learn anything.

The main difficulty I have had has been finding certain things and applications from the settings, because I was used to looking for them in Spanish and now doing it in English has taken me longer to find what I was looking for. Apart from that, it seemed strange to me to be talking on WhatsApp with someone and see "typing" or "online" in English terms. I already had applications like Instagram and Tik Tok in English, so it hasn’t been difficult for me to use them.

I have learned the basic names of the components of the mobile settings, the applications and contents of social networks. I find it very useful and I learned a lot, because now I know better the typical vocabulary of something that is widely used today, the mobile phones and the technology.

It’s so important to know basic things such are the names of what you use daily on your phone and understand the language of it if you want to use it properly.

I will let my phone be configured in English, because I think that it will be good for improving my skills in the language.

I have changed the language mobile. From Catalan to English since you challenged us to carry the mobile in English for a week.

The truth is that there are not many since I had the mobile in Catalan and for example the intagram already came out in English; it is to get used to it. 

I had my mobile phone in Catalan and therefore many applications are in English. 

I think it's a good way to learn English, and what better way than with a mobile phone, which is a device that we use all day long.

The purpose of this challenge was to expand our vocabulary.

I have found one difficuly. The first, has been to look for some things in the settings, because I'm used to seeing the names always in Spanish, and now having it in English it was a bit complicated for me to find some things. 

Thanks to these exercice, I've learned some new words that before the challenge I didn't know in english. Specially, these words are from the settings. For example:

I think that changing the phone's language is a good idea to understand vocabulary quickly, but for teenagers I think it's quite annoying that you get a notification and you don't have it.

I found almost no difficulties, only in some words I had never seen before but most of them I knew.

In order to improve my skills in English I changed my mobile language for a whole week (Spanish to English).

Difficulties:

I didn't have any major difficulties a side from the keyboard because it was in English and it didn't have the "ñ" near. Also serching some apps.

I learnt how to change the mobile phone language and also some new words, por exemple fog. On the other hand, I alredy knew the other basical words that appear frequently on the apps because I alredy had all my apps in English.

Difficulties:

Generally the great difficulties I had were to find according to what things. Since there is vocabulary that I do not know. But in other cases. I know it was easy for me, due to the fact that I regularly use my mobile phone, therefore I remember most things on the phone. In conclusion, the big problem was not knowing a certain vocabulary.

What I learned the most are certain specific names, although there are some that are not clear to me. In general vocabulary. I also know how to identify some verb tenses, but it happens to me a bit like in vocabulary, there are some that were not entirely clear to me.

What really bothered me was have conversations with people or to search for different things. And that all the words I put are constantly translated. In general, I had some difficulties with certain vocabulary. And in identifying different verb tenses.

I had some difficulties with the vocabulary of the settings, because it is very complicated for me. I think that there is a specific and scietific, when i had to search one utility to change it, I didn't find the specific word to make this change.

I usually change my phone's language to learn about other languages that I don't control as Spanish. For example, before this challenge I had my phone in Catalan and before this I had it in English, but when I had difficulties in the settings with this language I changed it.

During this week I had changed the language of my mobile to English for a week.

One of the difficulties that I found is when I search some apps in the settings, I usually look for them in Spanish and now they are in English. It takes longer to enter in the applications or other things.

I have decided to leave my phone in English, I think that its funny for lear some new vocabulary and understand all it quickly  because we read a lot with the mobile.

I thought I would have more difficulty understanding everything in English, but I don’t. The most difficult thing was to find the apps, because they have a different name in English, and when I search them in catalan, of course, the mobile phone doesn't understand it. I’ve learned some words that I didn’t know from settings, like the “Display & Brightness” that means “la pantalla” and la “lluminositat”. Also, I've become more used to looking for things in English on the internet.

From my experience, I think it is a very good way to improve our English without making a lot of effort, and it’s easy to learn new words, because you remember the word in Catalan, and you can relate the words easily.

The truth is that I didn’t have any difficulties as I’ve already had most of the apps in English. However, I learned new vocabulary because there were words that I didn’t know the meaning of before. Even so, I was able to guess it quickly due to the fact that the icons are the same in all languages. 

I learned new vocabulary such as locket, fundraisers or trademarks. 

From my point of view, this activity can help us to learn basic technological concepts. I like to have my phone in English because it’s a way to have this language in your daily routine. Now that the challenge is over, I’ve decided that I’m going to continue with it and I’m not going to change the language back to Catalan.

Well, I changed the language of my phone for a whole week because I was challenged  by teacher, and I wanted to know if it will be easy or not.

I didn't espect to have any dificulty, as I'm good at english and usually I watch videos from english people to improve my english, so I took it easy and I'm thinking of leaving it on english.

Well, I haven't learned too much only a few words and no more.

Because of changing the phone language I lost my free premium spotify account, and I had to search for another APK.

I setted my mobile phone lenguage to english.

I didn't had many difficulties. But at first it was really har try to use settings because the names were totally differrents, for example I couldnt find "ringer".

I learnt a whole new vocabulary, wich is the one we use in our phones, also, I think that I got mostly all the words beacause I could remember them.

Lastly I think that I'm not going to change the lenguage again, beacause I got used to it and it can help me to improve mi english skills.

Ana challenged us so I changed the language of my phone to english for a whole week, to see what could I learn and what difficulties could I have.

To be honest I didn’t really have any difficulties, I already had my phone in english for a while and most of my apps are in english, but a difficulty could be that i had to get used to search for things in english, searching apps for exemple, I would write "Galeria" instead of photos.

I learned new vocabulary and got used to English being mostly the only language shown in my phone.

I will keep English as my main language on the phone. I like it and I think it’s a good way of becoming familiar with English.

I learnt a few words of the settings like features, feedback, display and the applications of the mobile phone.

Sincerely, this challenge help me to learn a few words and it's a good challenge but I don't keep english as my main language in the phone and I return to spanish.

-Difficulties
In fact, I didn't have any difficulties. For saying something, the main difficulty it was vocabulary of the settings putting mobile data for the day a day, because i don't have the wifi of the school so I have to use every day the setting of the phone. Then when i use the calling it was bit difficult to understand the words that say in the lose messages. the others platforms of internet wasn't a difficultie.

I have learned a lot of vocabulary about all types, but although I think that in learning more I have to put the phone in English for so long.

I like the idea of doing that challenge because this strengthens our knowledge. Too it's important to know new vocabulary of our lives that we use, but in another language

I have seen tic tok (videos in English), I have also been observing how all the apps are in English.

The difficulties were when making an update or looking for things in settings that I couldn't find.

I have learned words that are commonly used on the mobile, since if you use the tic tok a lot having the mobile in English little by little it changes to the selected language.

I liked having the mobile in English since it seems to me a good learning method since the mobile is something that we use daily for many hours throughout the day.
