Body image is the subjective picture or mental image of one's own body.

The media tells you that you have to look or act a certain way. It happens all over and if you aren’t “perfect” your hated or judged.
This picture shows body image because there are words on her body that people have said to her. People tell her she isn’t enough for Society because she not “skinny enough” or “not pretty enough” or she’s “to fat”. It’s really sad that people say these things. Why does it matter how “fat” or “skinny” you are? It doesn’t your perfect the way you are.

The girl looks at another girl on Instagram who is skinny, while she is trying to loose weight and because she is skinny she starts thinking that she’ll never have the “perfect body” and no one will love her. Things like this and other things in the media portraying a “perfect body” can cause things like body dysmorphia disorder, bad self esteem, and other things like that and can lead to much more serious things.

Media effects body images because people especially girls may look at someone and think like hey their body is really good, I want to look like them. This is an example of when someone may want to change their body because this ad shows girls with “perfect bodies” and everyone’s body is perfect so it’s just like weird.

Body Image is the subjective picture or mental image of one’s own body. The media makes people think that there is a “perfect body” and that you have to have it. It makes people insecure and feel bad about themselves for not looking how everyone else wants them to look. My image is saying need to look like her to go to the beach or wear a swimsuit.
