Karl at school is beaten up at school when he is discovered to be a Jew and with his luck he meets his dads friend named Max which is a boxing champ. Max trains Karl and makes him train everyday, and eventually he gets good enough to enter into competitions when he gets discovered to be a Jew. Things continue to go downhill from there because it's 1938 in Germany.

It has had many new rules to distinguish Jews with Stars of David and J's on their passports. Karl and his family are losing money and has to move because of everything, and he has to sneak around to the club.

     All the crap said about the Jews influences his rage and makes him wanna hit harder and move faster. Often in matches he has to fight Nazis even though they dont know hes Jewish. But when he gets there he see's one of the kids that knows he is a Jew. He beats two people and realizes he has to fight him. He goes in and starts to destroy the kid when he notices the kids friend conversing with the judges. The judge calls off the fight and announces to everyone that Karl is a Jew.

1) Karl runs outside whilst cans and food are thrown at him.
2) He continues his training at home and doesn't go back for awhile because Woryk doesn't know he is a Jew.
3) He writes a letter of apology and all is forgiven.

But as time goes on he becomes stronger, smarter, and more confident. Sometimes his confidence can get in his way just like his anger and rage.

  He is a Jew and that fuels his rage but also puts him in danger of being thrown in jail.He doesn't have a big nose or brown hair so that helps him blend in. I did enjoy the entire story, but one part annoyed me where the author only elaborated on his girlfriend a couple times.
