some people believe that homework is completely unnecessary. However, others believe that homework is necessary and should be compulsory.

on the one hand people think that a full five days at school is enough, and the weekend is a time to rest. A child is not the subjects he learns and may want to do other things with their family. Furthermore, many adults and students believe that they learn all hey need to know without homework therefore making it a complete waste of time. They say that all work should be done in school hours.

on the other hand people say that homework is necessary because students need to revise for their exams, wich may effect which job they get. The results from the last scientific survey state that 55% of students don't get their desired job due to lack of revision. Furthermore many people think that home work should be compulsory because it gets children used to deadlines, which is an important skill to learn. Itis also a useful guide to teachers because it shows them weather their students have been paying attention in lessons.

in conclusion, a lot of things we learn we dont learn at school. We need to develop other skills.

PLEASE CHECK ALL OF YOUR CAPITAL LETTERS!

Some people believe homework is necessary; others don't. Here are my thoughts.

Homework should be necessary because it helps children go over what they have learn't in class, and the advantage of that is that children will remember what they have done at school. Homework also helps you to answer questions properly, especially in a test, because they have gone through it at home and have remembered how to answer them.

Furthermore, it helps children get help from home if they are stuck, so parents can explain it in a easier way to help the child understand. Also, some homework, like making things, couldn't happen at school, as there isn't enough time in class, so it helps the child to express their inner-self, especially if they like art. Homework also allows parents to look through their children's work to see how well they are doing at school, which allows parents to see if the child is finding it difficult, so they can speak to the teacher about it.

However I have a few reasons why homework shouldn't be necessary. Here they are.

No homework gives children more free time at home to play or go outside. No homework also gives them time to go round to friends' houses. One result of no homework is that children can more easily forget what they have done at school. Furthermore, too much homework can lead to tiredness. If the child has at least an hour's worth of homework (4-5 pieces) they worry about not finishing it in time and then that makes them lose confidence in themselves, which is very bad.

Finally, I think over-all homework should be necessary, as there are better reasons for than against the question. Therefore my answer is YES, homework IS necessary.

Many people believe homework is important, however it could be argued that homework is not improving children's work.

39% of children believe homework is not improving their education. Furthermore, children are not having enough time to complete the work set because of out of school activities. This results in children becoming tired and anxious about doing their homework. Consequently, children will not work as hard at school because they will not have had a break.

However, on the other hand 61% of children believe homework is important. The reasons for this are because homework helps with children's learning and parents can see if their child is understanding the work. In addition to this, it helps children to organise their time effectively. Therefore, homework is necessary.

To sum up, as you can see there are valuable reasons for and against homework. In my opinion, it is a waste of time when I want to be playing out side instead. What do you think?

Some people think children need homework; others don't. Here's what I think.

Here are my reasons for homework.

Homework should be necessary because it encourages responsibility. When the teacher is teaching you, you sometime don't think for yourself, however when you are doing homework you have to think for yourself. On some occasions, homework helps you organise your time this is very helpful to adults. Some homework can be fun! Sometimes in school you don't get to do fun subjects, such as art. If you get arty homework, problem solved. When you get stuck in school sometimes the teacher can't help because there are lots of other students. However, when you are at home adults can help you.

I also have some reasons against homework.

Lots of people believe weekends should be for free time. Homework ruins that time to play since homework isn't very fun. If you go out for the day but then get homework then you have to make the day out shorter. Another reason why homework should be banned is because children panic if they don't finish it. If children get lots of homework, then they should be allowed more time however, sometimes this is not the case and children don't finish. Some parents explain work in a different way this confuses children. Confusing children is not a very smart idea.

Since there are more reasons for homework, I have to agree that homework should be allowed.

Homework is a debatable subject. Here are some reasons for homework and against it.

One reasons why homework is very useful, is that if a child is struggling with a certain subject or has not understood something , they have the chance to review and practice it , which could help them with tests and with more important things later on in life. Aswell, it can also help with remembering something. At school it it is easy to forget something new that you have just learned, especially if you move quickly on to another subject. Going over it at home helps children realise how helpful something is and weather it could be something that could help them in tests and other important things.

Another advantage of having homework is that it could give a child the support they need from their parents or carers in a familiar environment. Plus it gives children one to one time that they would otherwise not get. Furthermore it gives parents a chance to see the progress that their child has made.

Here are some reasons why homework is not necessary.

Some people beleive that a full seven hours a day , and sometimes more , is long enough for children to have to work and that no homework is necessary. No homework could mean that children have more time to play and explore, which many people belive is vital and something that a child must have. No life lessons would be learnt and all that child would know is work ,work, work.

What if children were give loads and loads of homework ? They would have to spend the whole weekend working and families would'nt be able to spend time together. The short period of time that should be a day of for childre would become just like another day at school! Is that really what we want to happen?

i belive that a compermise should be met between the two. Children should have homework but too much is unnecessary.

Some people think homework is necessary; others think it is not. This is what I think.

Some people think homework is necessary because children need to practise what they have done during their lessons. When children get older they have to sit exams. They have to revise for these exams and if they did not they would not be very well prepered. In addition, children do not spend anough time with their parents. Children can do homework with their parents and spend time working out maths and english problems together. Finally, some children don't pay atention in school. When children do their homework it shows the teacher whether they have listened in class depending on how many answers they got right.

On the other hand, the main reason people think homework is not necessary is because children need a break from work. Children have six hours a day at school, apart from weekends, and when they get home should be able to relax and have a break. Over 60% of children in the UK, under the age of sixteen, have become overly stressed because of the pressure of school work.

In conclusion, I think homework is necessary.

Most people don't like homework. However, some people think homework is good this includes most adults including my Dad. Here is what I think.

Some people argue that five days a week at school is enough; others believe that children need to learn something whilst they are at home. Despite not many children liking homework, it helps them remember what they have learnt at school whilst they are at home. The gap in time between school and home lets you see if you remember what you were taught at school. Homework also helps children to get higher marks in their tests because children practice what they were taught at school in their own time. If a child was not good at something homework would help them understand and give them a chance to learn at their own speed. As some children work at different speeds than others it may be easier to spend more time whilst at home and seeing if it is easier to understand. If not then sometimes it is easier to ask Mum or Dad than a teacher.

Here are some reasons why children should not get homework. One reason is because children would be staying inside doing their homework when they could be running around outside getting fit. Another reason is that being at home is a time for a child to relax and not have to worry about anything. I also think it is important to spend time with your family and if you are going somewhere for the day then you don't want to come home early to do homework.

Although there are arguments for both I think that homework is bad because it could ruin your day and we do enough learning st school already. Most children would rather have an extra 10 minutes a day at school than have homework. m

Many people believe that homework is unecessary; others think that it keeps children thinking about school at home, this is my opinion.

I believe that homework is very unecessary because children, after a long, hard working day at school, should be aloud to unwind from all of the stress of the school day and of course, working hard at school for a full six hours a day five days a week is certainly enough for children. No-one, that I've ever met, likes to get there homework done, because of the fact they want to do something they enjoy. Such as: play outside, go to the park with friends, or even play inside with toys, but homework gets in the way of that completely.

To back that up, recently, in France, the goverment band homework from schools all over the country. Even parents think that homework makes their child moody and then that might well lead to arguments. Also children stay up late to do their homework, as a result, they are not fully refreshed for the next day at school. Instead of scratching their heads thinking for the right answer in there test for homework, children could be developing life skills, that are essential.

However, here are some reasons why homework should be givin out.

On the other hand, receiving homework, after school, can be an advantage by going over the questions children haven't understood in school time, which will certainly help them in the future tests, if the question comes up that is. Homework helps by teaching children know some questions they wouldn't normally know. Some homework can be fun but still can educate you.

Over-all there are more reasons for children not to have homework. I hope my explanation of my opinion has convinced you that children shouldn't receive homework after school.

Arguments weather homework is necessary have been going on for a very long time. Here are my thoughts on the subject.

I myself think homework is not necessary because I feel 6 hours a day for 5 days is more than enough and children should be able to relax on the weekends, not be fretting over weather they can finish their homework in time. Furthermore, if too much homework is given to a child, it could deprive them of their sleep. This could lead to lack of concentration, illness or grumpiness, all of which could affect a child's behavior and education.

However, some people argue that if no homework is given, children might forget what they were taught at school. Also, it would allow the child's parents to see their child's progress at school and tell the teacher if they feel their child is struggling on a subject. Finally, children can speak freely to their parents. For instance, if a child is stuck on some maths homework they were given, they can ask their parents if they are afraid of being laughed at in school.

To conclude, as I said before, I myself feel homework is not necessary but there are also some strong counter arguments that homework is important. What do you think about the necessity of homework?
