English immersion partners

In January 2024, Cochise College was privileged to coordinate the visit of 14 education majors and five instructors from two Hermosillo-based teacher preparation schools. The participants spent one week learning about the American education system, visiting five elementary schools, one middle school, and both college campuses. The visitors were chosen to participate in this English immersion week because of their achievement in bilingual proficiency. We thank our international partners from Benemérita y Centenaria Escuela Normal del Estado de Sonora and Escuela Normal de Educación Física for their international collaborations in promoting quality teachers on both sides of the border.
