I have been teaching for 22 years in special education. I began my journey from Columbus State University to education. I began teaching in Lagrange, Georgia, then Muscogee County; then, we moved to Missouri where I spent most of my years teaching. I have been at Russell County High School for a while now as the Department Chair and Inclusion Teacher. I have 4 children, two daughters, and two boys. The oldest is married and living in St. Louis, MO. The youngest is getting married soon. The boys are 21 and 18 and finding themselves (smile). Their father passed away from cancer in 2011. I have an older sister and younger sister, so I have the Middle child syndrome so to speak. I am excited at the beginning of every year for the good things the year will bring.
