The police are generally the first on scene at all emergencies and there first job when they arrive is to look for threats or dangers to themselves or the other services. They must assess the situation and decide what action should be taken. They are always the ones in charge of the situation. they will then set up a cordon to make sure that the scene is contained preserved and if it is a major incident that no further civilian life is threatened. They managed to do this during the Westminster attack and they evacuated the civilians whilst also ensuring the safety of others. the officer at the gate put up a valiant effort against the attack but was sadly overcome.

They will then tend to the injured people call in more units if they deem it necessary. They will then set up a temporary morgue and start moving the dead from the scene they did this during the Westminster attack and they managed to save 50 people from the attack with a few unfortunate casualties.

The fire service can come in a few forms. If it is a water based incident they will arrive via the fire boat which is what they did in terms of the Westminster attack to help the person from the river. They also helped with first aid on the bridge. They also come in the form everyone is most familiar with. This is with the fire truck for when there is a fire on scene or if there has been a major pile up on a road.

They arrived on the bridge to help get people to safety and also were there with the armed police to eliminate the suspect. It was used effectively in the tower bridge attack and the market place attack. it was used to mixed results but mainly good in the Ariana Grande concert terror attack. but most of all it was used to good effect during the Westminster attack.
