         <description><![CDATA[<div>A monsoon is a seasonal change in the direction of strong. It can sometimes cause rain, but rain is not actually a monsoon. Some  monsoons become tropical cyclones before they reach the land causing more flooding.</div>]]></description>

There has been an increase of how much rain the summer monsoon is bringing. Scientists predict that there will be about a 20% increase in rain from the summer monsoon. </div>]]></description>

However, changes in the monsoons may cause more water borne diseases like cholera, as well as more diseases carried by insects like malaria.          <title>Animals in Monsoons</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>India's animals can also be affected by monsoons. A wildlife reserve had 225 animals killed including deer, rhinos and at least one tiger. When the flooding happens, many animals  struggle to make it to higher ground and are found in unusual places. There is also a higher likeliness for rhino poaching because they get displaced from their natural habitats. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Future simulations suggest increases in the amount of rainfall. The typical rainfall will probably increase by about 5 to 10%. If the monsoon causes intense and heavy rainfall then it can lead to flooding and if the monsoon ends early then it can cause water shortages and drought for crop growing.</div>]]></description>
