There is also larger, more explicit collaboration, such as skyping with other classrooms, using Google Drive to work on documents and presentations together, using digital whiteboards, etc. Collaboration really depends on the level of comfort a teacher feels with technology and the needs of the students. We focused on finding information then discussing it's relevance and importance in the classroom. We decided that using collaboration in the classroom is necessary to create a community of learning and growth, and using technology to accomplish this is crucial in today's society. We discussed how using technology for this can adapt it to fit the students' needs, specifically in Sam's work with special education and Maddie's work with elementary education.
