Omomatopoeia

''Every room above, and every cask
in the wine-merchant's cellars below,(BANG, Bang, bang)'' This is an example of Omomatopoeia because it uses a imitate sound witch in this case is '' Bang Bang Bang''. The mood that is set for this paragraph is maybe frightening to the reader because of the loud and crazy noises.

Imagery

´´Quite satisfied, he closed his door, and locked himself in; double-locked
himself in, which was not his custom. Thus secured against surprise, he put
on his dressing-gown and slippers and his nightcap, and sat down before the
very low fire to take his gruel.´´ This is an example of imagery because it creates a vivid sensory for the reader. It has an example of like ´´he closed the door and locked him self in;double-locked himself in. I know for me personally it created a good image in my head of what that might look like. When I read this.

(clank) deep down below, (clank) as
if some person (clank) were dragging a heavy chain (clank) over the casks in
the wine-merchant's cellar.
This sentence creates Imagery it makes you think ''if some person (clank) were dragging a heavy chain. That makes you think and wonder what that might look like. It sets a mood to make you wonder about what is going to happen next. This is also omomatopoeia because of the ''clank'' sounds setting the mood of maybe being frighting to some.

Alliteration and Smile

The sound resounded through the house like thunder. I read as my first line of the paragraph. This is a simile because it makes a direct comparison between 2 different things, and it uses the word ‘’like’’. But there is also a alliteration in this sentence.‘’The sound resounded’’.

This part of that same sentence that had the simile in it. It is a alliteration because it has ‘’the repetition of initial content sounds. It also set a mood and rhythm.

Metaphor

"You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of an underdone potato. There's more of gravy than of grave about you, whatever you are!" This is a metaphor because it compares two things and it does not use the words like or as. It sets a mood of maybe to be sickening to the reader because all the nasty food he describes this person as.
