I did think all Edtech tools supplement in different ways and are therefore equally useful. Now I think the evaluation checklist would help me finding the most suitable tool as it would help me think through before choosing an app or tool.

I used to think we should be using mainly the SLS platform for the Edtech tool as it’s probably the easiest for students to login.

Now I think about the other available and easy to login tools avail online for this use.

I used to think that using Edtech tools will be very time consuming.

Now I think there are other Edtech tools that don't require much time in logging in for the students.

I have used Starfall and GetEpic and I love that it sounds out words while highlighting the words being read. Now I plan to try out lalilo as it seems to be very aligned to the lsp syllabus!

There are time and logistical constraints in using these Edtech tools. Now I think it’s feasible outside curriculum time with help from reading moms or buddy readers.

I used to think assigning LSP lessons/ games from SLS repository is sufficient. Now I think there are other apps to tap on- will try.

I have been using Starfall quite a lot especially those on phonics and the related stories. Also like the free worksheets that are found in the download centre to supplement what we are teaching in LSP.

I used to use Edtech tools without such detailed evaluation and consideration made to choice of tools and purposes of use (in class/ GEP/ independently at home).

Now I plan to evaluate the choice of Edtech tools used using the checklist in guiding my choice.

I used to use some Edtech tools without making use of the data generated to give feedback. Some don’t even have one.

Now I plan to use tools which will generate feedback such as Nessy or Duo ABC.

I used to pre- teach vocabulary words for writing activities before assigning the short free response text box or FIB for writing component. Now I could also merge similar topics from Lalilo to SLS.

I used to assign the Edtech tools as resources for HBL. Now, I think it's more feasible to leverage on them for my LSP lesson like PM or IEP/GEP.
