1)What are the points you have learnt from the lesson today?

I've learned how to produce drawings based on our own personalities which also made me realize that certain demographic generations have different styles of drawings. I've also learned that different comics of different genres carry different meanings and portray their own moral values for the readers to make example of and learn from, for example, in the past comic magazines such as 'Gila-Gila' or 'Lat the Kampung Boy' or 'Archie comics' falls under the category of comedy and educational content due to their nature of being a comedic storytelling and would usually end with a moral value.

2)What is challenging to you and how did you overcome the challenge?
The challenge is to maintain the same idea and characters. I have managed to maintain the same idea for my comic and competently draw characters.

3)Why did you choose the story (life's lesson/ cultural aspect) you drew?
To show the community that health is important in any situation. This story is based on my own life experiences and I thought that it would be far more meaningful to me and beneficial to readers.

4)How would your story content benefit others?

The story itself doesn't benefit the reader, but it is a story of a lesson to be learned. The story highlights a sense of hypocrisy amongst the community, which in this case the characters were complaining about the haze and seek protection from the haze by wearing masks, fearing that the haze would affect their health in a negative way but once the haze clears, the characters proceed to remove their masks and smoke cigarettes, which perhaps proven to be far more dangerous to the health of not just their own, but to those others nearby. This is a form of blissful ignorance on the characters' part and is shown in a form of sarcasm.

1) I have learnt how simple comic strips are but how much thought and process it takes to make one and even though the comic itself could be just a simple drawing in a newspaper or magazine, it can mean a whole lot more.

2) The difficulty for me was firstly actually thinking of what is something a typical Malaysian would have trouble with on a daily basis, I had drafted ideas of 2 before I came to a conclusion with the one I chose. Then of course was the drawing itself which I fully attempted only 1 frame before failing and redoing again from scratch with a much simpler goal and art.

3) I chose the current story for my comic strip because I do believe every Malaysian would eventually have this moment in their life. Even though we might have gotten fed of eating at Mamak, we will always go back to it because of the environment it has given us and continue to give us in the future.

4) The story would get readers to connect with the strip and also reflect on themselves to think when was the last time they did that. Not if, but when as not only is Mamak are unforgettable, they are also unavoidable as there is always one around the corner
