Students used to using Apps - being quick and efficient, the VLE need to be more modern and intuitive. Students are impatient - need  fewer clicks!

Popular to use to submit work.  

Canvas - really helped as is more user friendly, shiny interface but doesn't do much more differently.

 Tools need to be mobile responsive. Tools need to be engaging - if nothing changes (e.g. same PowerPoint slides for ages) then it gets boring.
