Instructions: Find a partner to work with. Obtain at least three paper plates and two fun size bags of M&Ms for you and your partner. You and your partner will layout your paper plates and put an equal number of M&Ms on each plate. DO NOT EAT THE M&Ms YET! One at a time, you will verbally explain how you would calculate how many M&Ms you have total. As you are explaining, your partner will be drawing a picture of your plates and M&Ms and writing the multiplication equation.
