What does a good story include?

A good story has a general plot/message that helps the reader understand the story. It often has many characters but the character that the story is centered around is often called a "main character" or "main protagonist." The main Character often has a goal or something they want that they need to do things to get/complete, they usually get a few friends and life lessons along the way. A good story most usually has a conflict, problem and/or villain to give the main character a hard time doing what they need to do. I find the best stories to have a message in them, or a lesson you can use and apply to your own life.

Why is the bible unique?

The bible is unique because of many reasons.

It is one of the oldest books around, the stories taking place around 1450 BC to 1400 BC. I tis around 3400 years old containing characters and events older than America.

The bible contains 783,137 words, although it is not the longest book ever written, and only 16% of Christan's have ever read the whole bible from start to finish. It would take 53 to 75 hours straight to read the whole bible.

Christianity is the most common religion with 2.382 billion people being Christians. The bible is the book that seems to "represent" or "inform" Christan's. Jessus Christ is the most well-known person in history, Making the bible very important, as the without the new testement, no one today would know who Jesus is!

The Bible has not been edited for thousands of years, but the story of God is ongoing, and he continues to make changes in our life. God has said in ending chapters of the bible that he will rise again, so while the bible may end, Gods story will never.

In the start of the New Testament (Luke 2:1-20), Jesus makes his first appearance, he is the promised king, Gods only son, and he was sent to earth to cover for people's failures and bless them. He tells people parables (made up stories to teach life lessons). He teaches people to love everyone, and he forgives them.

There are two paths in life, one created by God, the other created by sin. The path created by god is full of peace and happiness, where you don't make bad choices and live Gods way. The other, is full on sin and sadness, it is full of darkness and making bad choices that make God unhappy. When God first created the world, only his path existed until humans made bad choices, bring sin into our world and separating themselves from God.

In the start of the bible (Genesis 1-4). God Turns the chaotic, nonexistent world, into a beautiful world of peace and love, with animals, light, day and night, and humans! But humans get tempted by sin to do things they shouldn't. They eat a fruit god told them not to, God warned them choices like this would kill them, but they didn't listen. Now our world has war, death, and sin and God is unhappy, but he sent Jesus to forgive, and make things right again. And he will return.

the section 8-9, Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. ⁹But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” stood out to me because once they took the fruit, they started to fear God and regret their actions.

Stood out because it reminds me of the saying all actions have consequences.

Why is Jesus's Birth Significant?

God had always promised a son to take over Israel and free his people. Jesus's birth made the promise come to life. He was a new hope for the future and could spread the joy of God far. He could finally free us of our sins and give us eternal life up in Heavan with God.

God was the promised King of Israel; he was destined to take charge and save his people. Many were excited of his birth because they knew it meant freedom. Angels came to tell 3 humble Shepards about his birth, those Shepards became the first ones to hear about Jesus's birth. He was a bright hope for the future, therefor many worshiped and celebrated his existence.

Generous, because he devoted his life to healing the sick and teaching about God. He gave to the poor and made those who could not walk, walk. He then died on the cross and perished so he could take our sins and give us the free gift of eternal life. These are some of the most generous things anyone can do for us.

Jesus spent his life on earth spreading the word of God and healing the sick, he paid for our sins and helped people far across the Middle east. He taught large crowds and performed miracles proving Gods existence. He never sinned and was truly perfect. He then gave up his life for us and rose from the dead.

Thought: Jesus is a man of innocence who

was crucified so he could take away his people's sins. He accepted his death and forgave his enemy's. He forgave those executing him and died alone. He was accused by greedy religious leaders who were scared that they would lose their status and power because of Jesus.

Emotion: Sad, empathetic, angry.

Comment: I like how Jesus had a special dinner with friends before his execution, and how he told them that the wine was his blood, and the bread was his broken body.

observation: People were mocking Jesus as he was on the cross saying that he should save himself is he truly was the son of God.

application: We should trust God and have hope that he will take care and watch over us. That he will make sure that we are guided and that we shall be forgiven our sins for Jesus died on the cross for us to be free.

Why did Jesus have to die?

Jesus was an innocent man who did not deserve to die but the religious leaders were scared that he would take away their title and power. So, they made a plan to kill Jesus then went to the king and accused Jesus of being a revolutionary who wanted to overthrow the king. The king could see that Jesus was innocent but decided he would crucify him anyway. Jesus accepted his fate as he died to save us and take away our sins so that we could live forever in heaven with him.

How does this connect to Easter?

"Good Friday" is the day Jesus was crucified on the cross to pay for our sins and rise from the grave so that we could live forever in heaven with him. Easter Sunday is the day Jesus rose from the dead proving that God is real and that he will gift them with eternal life.

When Jesus died many stopped believing in him, they mocked him and lost hope but when he resurrected hope was regained. When he died, he died for us and when he resurrected, he resurrected to take our sins and allow us to live with him in heaven and have eternal life.

I find it interesting that people who had followed Jesus lost hope when he died, and that instead of praying and keeping a positive mind they just gave at on him until they knew he resurrected.

For me resurrection means hope. Like the hope everyone had when they found out that Jesus had risen and that he was going to give them eternal life with him in heaven. It reminds me of thinking about a better future.
