I am a full-time special educational needs teacher in the Technical College in Reykjavik for the last 10 years. There I work with young people with disabilities who need extra support to fulfill their potential.

Voluntary work: I started to be a scout at the age of 10 and now I am a Group Leader in my district where my role is to manage people and resources to provide a quality youth program experience to the young people.

At the BÍS (The Icelandic Boy and Girl Scout Association) I am a chairman of the council: “inclusive scouting" our aim is to include all youngsters in youth work. 

 My name is Ellen Sæmundsdóttir. I work for the  Directorate of Labour wich is located all over Iceland   but I will be representting  Akureyri, north side of Iceland. 

I work as a carrier councelor with unemployed youngster between 18-25 years old. Most of the youngsters are dealing with some kind of mental disabilities as, depression and social anxiety. My responsibility is to keep the youngsters active through soft skills training by planning courses that include financial asstistant, yoga, goal settings,intoduction of the labour market and mind setting programs. We try to keep the youngsters active, to go out of the comfort zone in order to build them up socially and physically. I have participated in  Erasmus plus inclusion projects for youngsters with Italia, Spain and Estonia before, so I am looking forward to meet you all!

The CSD manages several services addressed to people coming from difficult backgrounds: diurnal and residential services and special projects for minors, youngsters, families, seniors, persons with disabilities and specific dementia (Alzheimer and others), social farms, refugees and asylum seekers.

Me, in particular, am working in a department called “Youngs and territory” that promotes minors and youngsters growth through informal and non formal education. I also am in charge of our Hostel Villa Olanda and planning groups camps there.

I represent the T'Cap Collective, an association that federates a network of 180 other member organizations (associations, individuals, Scops - « participatory worker cooperatives », cities ...) that advocate for access to the social life of people with disabilities. 

We want a better access to citizenship, engagement, culture, sports and vacations for all. 

We are currently working on a 3 years European project Erasmus + Key Action 2: Innovation and good practices which has 3 axes, one of which focuses on the European mobility of people with disabilities.

On this axis, we have a Belgian partner, The Farm Nos Pilifs of Brussels, with which we will "practice" mobility and assess the concrete needs of people with disabilities to develop an app that will meet these needs as much as possible, as well as a resource website. 

This will be done through workshops with people with disabilities and their companions and mobility between these two countries.

My name is Lies and I’m living in beautiful Oostende, a city at the seaside of Belgium. I’m working in mu-zee-um vzw , an art-educational organization where we try to promote and stimulate the exchange between art(ist)s and the public. We are an inclusive organization. In this way that we are open for everybody (from babies until...), also for people with special needs or fewer opportunities. In our organization we e.g. have volunteers with a disability, with social problems, or people that “don’t fit in the regular system”. We invite them to take part in activities from mu-zee-um, such as workshops or exchanges. But, we also invite them to organize and lead a workshop themselves.

Besides that we see it our duty to make a museum-visit / art-education accessible for everybody by implementing little changes or opportunities for all people wanting to visit a museum.

My name is David and I live in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. I have attained the Banchelor of Science in ELTE Institute of Biology and now I’m studying Molecular Genetics as the ’master programme’ at the same institute.

I volunteer at Precious Plastic Para-fitt which is a part of the former startup and now global community called Precious Plastic. This non-profit organization includes working with ID youth, recycling plastic waste to create artworks (pots, jewellery), and workshops with biologists about global ecological solution. Me and my colleague Fanni as biologists hold presentation about ecological problems, ’conscious consumption’ etc.

This is my first time to participate in the Inclusion Matchmaking, so I’m glad to meet new participants and exchange our knowledge, experiments to each other. See you soon! :)

My name is Ilze. I’m from Jelgava, Latvia. I am working as educational methodologist at Jelgava elementary school, development center – “Valdeka”. In this school we are working with 7 – 17 years old children who have functional disorders (movement, learning, mental, somatic diseases and autism). Also I’m working with children who have learning disabilities but they are studying in the mainstream school. 
This will be my first time participating in event like this and I would like to have a new experience, ideas how to include and socialize not only children, but also their parents, how we could better understand and help them create pleasant environment. Looking forward to meeting you!

Briek is a leisure service that offers activities for (young) adults with a mental disabillity. We focus on inclusivity  and try  to give a variety of workshops,classes  and activities, going from mulitple sports, art-workshops, cultural daytrips to just spending time together and have a good time. Every workshop is supported by professional  guidance and volunteers.

Our organisation also offers all-in group vacations and festival trips, these events give participants a large selection off spare time activities. we also organize bootsea annually, a dance festival for young people with a disability.

Briek gives participants the opportunity to spend time away from their everyday responsibilities, make social contacts and enjoy life, in a way wich is possible for them.
