In the story he finds out he is a Norse demigod and goes on a quest. The book is very historic and has humor. I really enjoyed this book and am now reading the second in the series."

Something happens to the guy and the radio so now the boy has to get him back to civilization by making a raft. The Pendragon books are a great reads and the plots are unpredictable leaving you to wonder what will happen next. The first book is about a 14 year old boy who is pulled away from his home to become a traveler, he ventures to one of the ten territories called Denduron to save it from the antagonist Saint Dane who is trying to gain control of all of the territories one by one, by influencing the people in the territory to mess up each one, so that he can step in and "save" the territory from utter destruction. The travelers job is to stop Saint Dane from influencing the people in the territory, therefore saving them."

It features things like talking animals in waistcoats, riding on birds, hippies who can communicate with plants, and quite a few strong, independent female characters. No unnecessary romance. It's a long book, but if you are a fan of mystery, nature, adventure, and a modern take on the epic fairy tale style, you'll love it. There are 3 books in the series if you like them."

"Welcome to Night Vale is a strange and mysterious book about a town that never makes sense. The book follows the lives of two women whose lives are entwined in a strange adventure as they solve a weird predicament that living in the town of Night Vale has produced. Diane is a single mother who has to find out about the mysterious town KING CITY to save her shapeshifting son. Meanwhile, Jackie is a teenage shop owner who also finds herself needing info on KING CITY after being handed a slip of paper she can not physically let go of that has the city written on it that. It was handed to her by a man she can not remember, a man in a tan jacket and deerskin suitcase. The book is excellent quality due to its strange and comical fundamentals of the town Night Vale, it is also has interesting and complex characters with a lot of representation of POC and LGBT."

"The book is about a young teen girl who has a mother obsessed with beauty and pageants and has all the other girls at her school in the pageants but not her. She has a bit of an alternative style in her clothing, makeup, and hair so she's not like those girls anyway and MOST DEFINITELY does NOT want to be like them. She realizes that her mother has been with many different guys and while she was with each and every one of them her mom thought it was going to last forever. Of course it didn't though. Maybelline or "Maybe" wants to find her REAL father and not just deal with whatever step dad comes next. The step dad that broke the last straw was the very last one she had. For reasons you have to read the book to find out. Maybe has 2 friends and one is Indian and he has two very loving parents and doesn't ask for much else. The other is "Hollywood", he wants to be an actor. He was telling Maybe that he got accepted to a acting college and decided to go even though it was far away. Maybe found some papers and decided to start looking for her dad around the same place that Hollywood is going to college. Maybe, Hollywood, and Ted all go to the college and look for Maybe's dad."

"I recommend the book "Angels & Demons" because it is, in my opinion, one of the best books for mystery or thriller fans. This book is a great page-turner and will have you wanting to know what happens page after page. The book starts out with Robert Langdon, a symbolist from Harvard, where he must join forces with the scientist Vittoria Vetra to save the Vatican from a powerful bomb that could destroy it and the cardinals to be elected after the Pope had died. Throughout this journey, the two discover many secrets and mysteries, even including the one responsible for the threat. The main theme of this book had showed a conflict between science and religion, and the present day battle for control. If you are familiar with the movie series, "National Treasure", it is a lot like that; solving puzzles and going on adventures. Within the book, Brown provides many surprises for the reader to discover and adds a mix of mystery within the religious and historical elements within the read. Overall, this book will pick you up in a journey that will leave you always wanting to know what happens after every conflict, and in my opinion will give you an adventure unlike many other books."
