Drawing is a good way to activate more kinesthetic learners.. maybe you could even get some modeling clay in there too to reinforce that. If you are working with a text more long term with a 'cast', you could have students create portraits/descriptions, bring in costumes (to associate with each character).

I like that you provided model character descriptions. To scaffold the activity a bit more, you could provide the model character descriptions with a breakdown of the components like a graphic organizer, with space for students to write their description with the model alongside it.

It was a nice touch to bold certain terms, give their definitions, and include IPA symbols to be clear on how to pronounce the new vocabulary.
