Random.org has so many beneficial tools that can be used by teachers and others too. One tool that I really found helpful was the random clock time generator. I could see this tool being very helpful when students are practicing time. You could have 5 random times pop up on the screen for them to practice with their own clocks.

www.wolframalpha.com has them! This is a "fancy calculator" that could be used to safely search for unknown questions that sometimes come up during lessons. Teachers could use this to "dig deeper" and check answers!

Believe it or not, Excel is an easy to use program. I do not use this program very often, yet I easily typed in information and easily graphed it quickly. I chose this graph because I feel as if it easily shows the change in temperature from day to day. Great way to show kids different graphs with different data!

www.wordle.net makes grouping words fun and decorative. I think this would be a fun way to group math terms for a folder cover. Students could see the words and know to associate them with math.

This site (http://illumination.nctm.org) also has great interactive activities. There was one that I found (again, only 2 clicks away) that showed a great visual for adding, subtracting, and grouping. The visual dealt with cows that you not only had to move, but also count. I think this would be a fun thing for students to engage with.

One major concern that I have with technology is the book of excused that can sometimes come with it.
"I can't get logged in."
"My computer isn't working."
Our math haters will always say/do anything to get out of engagement. I have seen it. Technology is great, but it also requires patience and sometimes a plan B. Sometimes technolgy fails us. We, as teachers, need to ALWAYS be ready for our plan B.

Something really great about it, is the differences that can be addressed while using technology. You can teach and practice with those who learn differently. For some, this cow game I shared might be so fun that they don't even question the math side. Yet, they are still getting the practice they need..
