Frank is a near-retirement detective, but he hasn't done much in his career so he was worried that his pension won't be enough for him to pay for a round-the-world trip. Then, a case arose regarding a precious gem of a wealthy family living in the same town as him, called the Babbingtons. A bartender named Peggy has reported overhearing some kind of a plan to steal a gem that is intended to be gifted to Mrs. Tabitha, Ronald Babbington's wife. Seeing that the case is his last shot at making his name before retirement, he made a plan to catch those thieves in the action. On the night that the criminals have planned to steal the gem, Frank waited patiently in the bushes for them to steal it before catching them red-handed. When they got out of the mansion and drove away, Frank chased after them and said that they have been speeding. He asked them to show him what is inside the car and the gem is found. After that, Frank was rewarded by the Babbingtons, and his pension also went up by a great margin. At the end of the story, Frank is enjoying his trip on his luxurious yacht with Peggy.
