Chapter 23 (Erskine 145)
When Caitlins dad asks if she is okay going to middle school I don't think she understands that it might bring back memories of the shooting and her dad might get worried. She thinks that he means hard like how she feels at recess but he means if she is going to be reminded of Devon then she might be sad like her dad. I thinkt that the dad is really worried about her going there because they wouldn't expect people to get killed in a school and now that his son got shot there he might be worried that the same thing will happen to Caitlin.

Chapter 24 (Erskine 148)
I think Caitlin is starting to understand her own emotions now because when she searched up things about eagle scouts she got what she called a recess feeling. Even though she calls it a recess felling she is feeling sad or uneasy which is what everyone else feels so maybe she might understand others emotions now that she kind of understands hers.

Chapter 25 (Erskine 151)
In this book I feel bad for the dad but I also don't like him at the same time. When he says that she can't ask him about the chest untill a really long time and I feel like that he isn't doing a good job raising Caitlin. He keeps shutting her down and telling her not to talk about Devon when she wants to and it makes things better for her. Like when someone from my family died we like to talk about him when we are at a family party or if we are doing something he used to like. And the dad isn't doing this because he only cares about his feeling and not his daugthers feeling which she is still trying to understand. So when he tells her to stop saying things and not to talk about the chest he is at this point trying to not let Caitlin find closure. So at this point I really dislike the dad a lot.

But I still don't like him because he still doubts Caitlin. And it doens't even have to be on big things it could be on something little. Like he doubted her about aking up on time to go to lowes at 7.

This whole chapter really showed how Caitlin is very literal. She thought that her dad was actually lost when saying he was lost. Then she thought that going to a private school means just her. Most people know what these mean but I can infer that because she is on the autism spectrum she thinks literal and does not take it like it is true.

Now Caitlin thinks that her hole friendship is over but really she just does not understand the concept. I hope that one day she will understand and become friends with Michael again. I hope because I think that Michael helped her in some way cope with the death and find some sort of closure.

I think that this does not help Caitlin at all because the chest can actually help her find closure . Now I think that she is not going to find closer so fast because the dad is not ready. I can infer that to Mrs. Brook Caitlin is very important and matters to her. Caitlin and Mrs. Brook both have gone through a lot together, so I think they both really care for each other. I also think Mrs. Brook cares for Caitlin because she does not have a mom to talk to and go through the hard with so Mrs. Brook is her "mom".

I think that the other girls don't like Caitlin and think she is weird because she is on the spectrum. If you really think about it everyone deserves to be treated correctly no matter what. This might pull Caitlin down more and put her into a bad stage as well as making her insecure and want to give up. This is by NO means good. Caitlin needs a friend, and mean girls being mean to her is not going to help her make friends.
