In my research of finding where I can get employment as a composer for media, I stumbled upon r/INAT -which stands for I Need A Team- on Reddit. I have chosen to join this community as it is comprised of small indie game developers who are actively looking for a team of people to help them create their game, in doing this I will be able to make a post on the subreddit stating that I am a composer for media looking for work and I will also be able to build a network of potential employers as well as share my portfolio and previous works with the community.

As a result of joining the 'Become a Pro Composer' Discord server, I was able to contact Ben Berkenbosch, a young orchestral music composer from the Netherlands. I draw a lot of inspiration from Ben's work as he is at a similar age to myself and has already accomplished many of my goals for my future career, in contacting him I was able to receive links to book a call with him to discuss how to further my skills as a composer for orchestral music and also to aid me in understanding how to navigate the music industry I wish to get involved with.

Throughout my research for the S24 L4.2 MPO100 Your Creative Development module, I stumbled upon a content creator on YouTube called Kevin Kuschel, from his videos I have been able to improve my understanding of how to become a composer for media -with his content leaning more towards epic film scores and trailer music- and from the discovery of his channel I was able to join his public Discord server.

Through joining his server, I found that one of the small composers I am inspired by, Ben Berkenbosch, was a moderator of this Discord server and from this knowledge, I was able to directly contact him through private messages on Discord.

An aspect of this server that I find to be innovative is through its "Melody Mayhem" feature where composers within the server can sign up in order to write to a brief, this feature allows me to learn how to write to a brief with minimal stakes.

I wrote an email to a musician that inspires me a lot, Marcus Warner. I found his email through looking at his website, found at https://marcuswarner.com, for inspiration for when I create my own.

The purpose of this email was a task set by my mentor to contact someone in the industry, I did not have to recieve a reply from them as it was purely to prove I could draft a professional email to a industry professional and potentially gain some more knowledge if I am lucky to recieve a reply.

As displayed by the information in the posts relating to 'My Business Archetype' I have chosen to brand myself using the Everyman archetype as my focus. In doing this I will be able to apply the colour schemes associated with this archetype to allow for my website to look professional while conveying this idea of being an 'Everyman'.

I started to create a website, which currently is still being worked on. My plan for this is to provide a way for people to contact me, view my portfolio, access my tracks uploaded to micro-licensing libraries through hyperlinks to my profile on different licensing services (such as AudioJungle), and maybe a way to access samples I may create in the future or other services that I may include further on in my career.
