Connection:
An example of an appeal to authority is when Trump claimed that the votes have been rigged, or there are missing republican votes. This claim made approximately half of america divided with its own nation. Many Trump supporters were outraged by his claims and due to the upset of the election and Trump's not so subtle plee to storm the capital, he led the certain citizens to believe he was robbed of the election. 
When thinking critically about this claim we must first identify the problem. Trump wants to enrage his supporters to help him keep his presidency. He does this by claiming the voting is rigged and supports these claims by the mailboxes that were burnt and the uncounted votes still being counted. He also claims there are missing mail in ballots. However if you evaluate this evidence, the burnt mailboxes were done by a replubican to destroy mailin ballots due to the majority of mail in ballots being that of democrats. This is because before the voting started, Trump had asked his supporters not to use the mail-in ballots. After debunking all his reasoning, it is safe to assume that the voting was not rigged and this was just another ploy by Trump to rally his supporters.

Connection:
An example of confirmation bias is the animosity that arises between certain individuals who are of the Christianity relgion and the lgbtq+ community. The issue is that members of this religion believe that being a part of the lgbtq+ community is a sin. There arguments are that it is in conflict with Go'd view of marriage and sexuality, it conflicts with the 2000 years of teaching on marriage and sexuality, and that it is in conflict with the true identity in Christ. Certain individuals of this religion pull exerpts from the bible to relay these points. Now when we think critically about this issue, we see that it is a confimartion bias because these individuals translate the bibles words to conform into their view of how individuals to be but ignore other aspects of the same words. There are exerpts about alcohol and endulging in meat as sinful yet they choose to ignore these exerpts. These exerpts also do not completely translate into gender roles or issues, many of these exerpts talk about pedophila and indulgence as sinful. It goes to show that it does not matter that not all the words of the bible are being adhered to, just the few that suit their ideology.

The idea that the two things can just be related by other factors is ignored.

Connection:
An example of this is the news of the two male lions that were seen in a gay sexual encounter. The park official had then  blamed this encounter because of a gay couple that visted the national park. Suggesting that the lions had seen this gay couple and had then decided to be gay themselves. To add to the riddiculousness of this claim, he also suggested the lions go for therapy in order to convert back. The reason why this is a correlation vs causation issue is because the mayor had thought that the cause of the lions being gay is because of the gay couple that had visited. This was in fact not the case, the only correlation between the two is that these are two different animal species that are able to engage in homosexuality. The reason of belief in this case was simplicity. It was easier for the park official to believe the reason for this behaviour is because of the gay couple instead of it being a biological nature. To disprove this claim, we can look at the encounters of these lions before the gay couple visted and can see that they have been engaging in this behaviour beforehand as well. This fact alone disproves the mayors entre theory.

An example of an "All-Natural" claim is that of Kashi, a Kellogg brand prdouct that claimed its contents were all natural because they were ingrediants that can be found naturally. However, this was misleading because the products found were also able to be synthetically made, which does not make it an all-natural product even if the ingrediants can be found naturally. This is an example of All-natural due to the misleading label. When looked at more critically we were able to identify that the ingrediants that were claimed to be all-natural were synthetically made. Connection:
An example of Ideological support is the Anti-maskers. This is a group of people who believe that wearing a mask during the pandemic infringes on their human rights. They also believe that these masks don't do anything to prevent the spread of Covid if there is such a thing as Covid-19. This is a great example of ideological support because their claims as to why they should wear a mask is not scientifically proven. Scientists have in fact went out of their way to run tests on certified masks to prove that they help in blocking out airborn waterdroplets. Most of these anti-maskers believe the masks are unnecessary because others who believe the same say so. In the following article an organizer of an anti-masker was arrested for holding a protest in downton Hamilton. The reason for belief in this case is ideology. They believe the same as other anti-maskers, and through this collective crowd they stand by with what they believe in, even with the threat of catching Covid.

Trump supporters believed that the simple reason he lost is because the votes were somehow rigged. There were no other logical explanations in their minds because they could not see that the majority of the population were against Trump. They also believed that those of the opposition party were not trustworthy enough. In post #4 we talked about the gay lions. The problem that was arised was that the gay lions performed their actions after seeing a gay couple that visited the national park.

Gather information: 
The evidence to disprove this claim comes from observing behavior of these lions before the encounter with the homosexual couple. It was believed that the lions were engaging in this behavior prior to the encounter. Furthermore, it is scientifically proven than many species on this planet engage in homosexuality, penguins being one prominent example.

Evaluate evidence: 
The credibility of this claim cannot be confirmed due to it being from news articles from the UK. The replicability of the results of gay lions have not been undergone however it is widely discussed that if a homosexual couple were to be presented to another set of lions, they would not find that the lions would then engage in homosexual behaviour.

Recognize assumptions, emotions and biases:
The claim made by the official that made this claim may be biased due to their own views of homosexuality. They consider it as a sin, and that it is a sin that can be passed on by observing. This bias led to the conclusion as to why the lions performed homosexual behaviour.

Synthesize evidence, identify alternatives: 
A probably cause for this behaviour is lack of available female mates for the lions to find connections with. There can also be underlying biological factors that led to their homosexuality. Homosexuality is seen across many species, it is in the innate biology of these species.

Select best alternative:
The best reason why this incident has occured because the lions had a innate biological predospition to homosexuality and it was something they were born with and not learned through obeservation.
