She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb by ty fish

This heavily emotional, often hilarious novel, is about the sarcastic and witty adventures of Dolores Price’s adolescents. When the novel begins Dolores is only four-years-old, and naive to the fact that the delivery of a tv set will mark the start of a catastrophic avalanche. Dolores’ life is thrown off course from the beginning, with a lustful father longing to leave her family and a mother she could only describe as looney. She never really had a fair shot, but who said life was fair? The story takes place in 1956 New York, but changes of setting happen quickly and without warning because of Dolores’ unstable home life. Since Dolores had an absence of parenting starting from a young age, she turns to melodramas and sitcoms on the television to teach her life lessons, and how to love. In this story, we see the transformation from a vulnerable child into a strong minded teen, and then into a powerful born again woman.

You may also enjoy...I Know This Much Is True, By Wally Lamb. It's a novel about twins, but one of them has schizophrenia. It's a good study on the theory of nature vs. nurture.

...Disregard this one...apparently the program deleted all those loops and now it looks fine...WHO KNEW?

Lamb has been working as a writing teacher at a womens' prison and published a couple of books based on his students' work. I have yet to read these books, but look forward to it them this summer. You may want to check these out, too.
