Canvas is a place that has quickly become my home for the past two years. In high school, we never had any websites to see assignments or postings, so having this in college has been so nice. It's a great way to stay organized and keep papers to a minimum. I absolutely want to use Canvas in my own classroom with its friendly interface and UI, it allows for anyone and everyone to become familiar with the way it works.

Canva has become my new best friend in this class--I used it so many times to make graphics and posters for blog posts and artifacts. I had used it once or twice beforehand for making posters for clubs and such, but I'm now much more familiar. Its interface is friendly and kind to those that have never used it. The only downside is how restrictive it can be without a subscription. However, if you can get past that it's a great way to make some nice looking graphics for presentations and assignments.

Canvas's Studio is a great and easy way to submit videos from within Canvas. Rather than having to download or export videos recorded elsewhere, Studio is implemented right into the website. It's easy to record just yourself, yourself and your screen, or just your screen! I've used it plenty of times for other online classes, whether it be for introductions, video assignments, or screen recording needs. When uploading an assignment, it's easy to select the video from Studio and easily have it uploaded. Rarely do submissions mess up with this, so it's dependable and easy accessible.

Padlet: the very website I'm using to make this exact thing! It's great for lesson planning and interactive posters, but it's even better for mind mapping. Getting all of your aids and sources together has been something Padlet has helped me master. By just clicking the "+" sign, you can add any link, picture, video, or any other outside source form you can think of. You can add a caption, customize the display, and add notes, as well. Opening it to the public also allows for this to be used as a classroom activity, too. The possibilities are endless!

Before EDU 255, I had never used Google Sites. I had never even considered blogging or making my own website. However, using this tool has been a great way to collaborate and recieve feedback from my peers. Building your own website on Google Sites is incredibly easy and the customization is endless. It has a super friendly interface that makes even the least tech savvy person understand what they're doing. It's easy to add more blocks to any page you've created and inserting photos, websites, any other outside information is incredibly easy. It's easy to organize, too, by using to pre-made content block formates they have listed. I absolutely want to try and implement this into my classroom.

Kahoot is the best way to make learning fun. It's super easy to make your own Kahoot and it really brings the classroom together through a fair and fun competition. Plenty of my teachers in high school used this as a way for review. For my own classroom, English, I'd love to use it for reviews for vocab words and any content we would have been covering. The teacher I observed with for my Intro to Ed class used it frequently while her class went over Romeo and Juliet. It was a great way for her to see their learning and who may need some extra help while being able to reward those that had done their best.

Quizlet is possibly the most well-known flashcard resource. I've used this all the way since my freshman year of high school and have come to depend on it for my reviews and random questions. It seems like everything is on Quizlet and, often, when I can't figure something out, it's the first link that pops up to help answer my questions. Making flashcard sets is super easy, too, for reviewing. You can make as many sets as you need for yourself without any restrictions. Sometimes, premade sets will require you to have a subscription to Quizlet+ but those are pretty easy to avoid.

YouTube: the biggest video creation platform out there. My classes all the way since primary school have depended on this as a way to reliably quickly relay information. I can't think of any classes that haven't used CrashCourse for some lesson. It's dependable, easy to filter out the inappropriate content, and easy to use. It's also super easy to make and upload your own content, which I've seen plenty of my teachers and fellow students do. It become even more needed during the height of the pandemic amidst Zoom classes and virtual learning. YouTube has been through it all with us and I can't imagine it going anywhere.

Socrative is a great way for teachers to assess their students in a multitude of different ways and easily see the statistics that come along with their outcomes. Socrative isn't restrictive in just allowing tests--instead, it makes these assessments engaging and interesting for students. It really takes the pressure off by adding some fun and laughter to an otherwise stressful thing. This gives teachers an easy way to chart and understand what their students need, avoiding the issue of teachers being in the dark when students don't speak up. Choosing an activity is super easy and there are plenty of options for teachers to choose from. Asking questions for feedback is also another great tool this website offers.
