Strength:

Sound system of ICT champion in class committee and department. There are trainings and structures for staff and students to try out new ICT tools.
Use of Design Thinking process (FIDS) in all programs

Current effort:

Program that helps the low progress learners.

Challenge:

Misuse of learning device for gaming addiction.
Lack of self-management in posting unkind things on confession platform.

Staff culture and culture of innovation as our current effort/strength.

Time (to try new ideas) and school infrastructure (lift, spaces/venues for lessons & activities - need flexible venues) as a challenge.

EdTech, academic achievement (for students to move to post-secondary) as a priority.

Our efforts are student-centred processes, e.g. in the areas of T&L, CC-ship, CCA, VIA.

Our strengths include a collective effort to provide a holistic experience for our students with some partnerships (e.g. in VIA).

Our challenges are in the area of effective use of technology, especially in the rapid pace where tech is growing, e.g. AI - how do we authenticate/ verify their work which is generated by AI?

(a) We have a culture for teacher collaboration. There is time and space for teachers to come together to collaborate for T&L. We provide the time in the year-end for staff to learn during HS Learning Fest.

(b) InnoSpace is a good platform to share and recognise innnovative ideas.

(a) Tackling various disciplinary issues amongst our students e.g. punctuality and vaping.

Strengths:
1) CCE lesson packages were promptly aligned to the refreshed CCE2021
2) Students are empowered to plan and organise school/class activities
3) Learning takes place beyond the classroom for our students, in the form of learning journeys
4) Collaborative culture for staff to share and learn from one another
Challenges:
1) How to maintain traditional teaching while incorporating AI learning for our students
2) Students lack the confidence to tackle challenges. Many of them still require a lot of handholding from the teachers

To strengthen 21 CC - More leadership opportunities, leverage on LJs, enrichments, SIL and other outdoor experiences to develop students' skills and SE competencies.

To enhance EdTech - Offering Computing as an elective subject, T&L ICT Tools for teachers to use liberally, Code For Fun creates more opportunities for students to develop ICT skills.

Provide opportunities for experiential learning e.g. community involvement in VIA.

Enhancing SIL e.g. collaborative learning, giving project-based learning. Current state is rather based on individuals.

Focussing on critical thinking and analytical skills (since AI is generating a lot of students’ content).

Making use of AR to enhance learning e.g. viewing models of heart.

Staff PD, activities for students (e.g. class bonding, GRIT formation week, Inspire@HS), staff meetings that are inclusive (e.g. EAS )

Strengths : + Staff culture, TSR and SSR, willingness to try new things (embrace changes)

Priorities : Partnerships, aligning programmes to promote 21st CC intentionally, use of ICT etc

Challenges : teacher's skills (e.g. ICT), time and funding, hp policy works well till students are allowed to use PLD (a need to constantly remind students of the importance of screen down), etc.

Good to get some preliminary sensing on student's needs to design school programmes. E.g. Code for Fun may not engage students who had been exposed to Coding in Primary school
