i am struggling with forgiveness with myself. Sometimes i feel like giving up that i keep repeating the same old mistakes and continue to hurt others because of my unhealed past. I feel so remorseful towards those i hurt but i am getting so tired of working on myself but see myself not improving significantly. I also acknowledge Allah wants us to show mercy to others to the best of our abilities yet i struggle with that. I know it is definitely a me problem but Can you kindly share how to overcome this struggle. :( thank you ustazah. i always feel not good enough because i revert to my old ways and not treating others (when i feel wronged by them) the way we are supposed to as good muslims.

Since Allah is Al-Afuww, why is there concept of heaven and hell? Rewards and punishment. He forgives even without us seeking His forgiveness? Sorry for asking this question but i just want to seek clarity of the meaning of Al-Afuww. So when we seek forgiveness is a means of earning His love? Because forgiveness is a given from Allah?

Doesn't it mean that, the moment you take wudu, your intentions are already set before doing the solat? I mean like, during our takbiratul ihram, we don't have to intend anything since Allah already knows your intentions the moment you make wudu.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh Ustazah,

Sometimes we are kind to everyone else by trying to make people happy even though they don't like us. If we were to be kind to ourselves every once in a while, people will call us selfish and sombong. Its really frustrating and annoying sometimes that we have to deal with these people that are only good with pointing out our mistake and ignore every nice thing we did to them. What can we do to overcome this negativity of people?

This is the question as follows:

As a young person, no matter how good you are, a mosque going person & doing amal soleh. There will still be this burning desire to sin especially those related to the opposite sex. Masturbation, pornography, u name it. How does one personally manage this as a young Muslim?
