Biodiesel is a substance that is used for creating chemistry compounds, there are some ways to obtain it and one of those is by mixing different ingredients as we can see in the image shows various procedures where different ingredients are involved such as: Used vegetable oil, methanol(but in my case, I use ethanol since methanol was pretty difficult to find). These are our main reactants we also mixed sodium bicarbonate with ethanol and then well mixed these 2 after that we separated it and washed it so we could ensure this compound could be used for future experiments.

Using biodiesel as a vehicle fuel can increase public health and the environment and contributes to a friendly transportation system. It Is important to produce this In the future instead of Fuel because it Is a cleaner energy, it can reduce many problems and make a healthier future. In here i used ethanol, sodium bicarbonate and vegetable oil to make this.

Though more expensive, biodiesel its also a more eco-friendly solution for the regular diesel that we already use in things like cars or more specifically, engines, this is because of the materials that are used to produce this type of diesel. Unlike petroleum diesel, which contains sulfur and carcinogenic benzene, biodiesel is made from vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled restaurant grease.

Biodiesel is a domestically produced, clean-burning, renewable substitute for petroleum diesel. It can be made through a process involving used vegetable oil, ethanol (another option could be alcohol which in my case i used it ), and sodium bicarbonate. The synthesis with sodium bicarbonate involves an efficient and safe process using readily available ingredients. Through transesterification, sodium bicarbonate catalyzes the reaction between vegetable oil triglycerides and ethanol, generating biodiesel and glycerin as by-products. The method begins by preparing the reagents, mixing sodium bicarbonate with ethanol, and then combining this mixture with the heated vegetable oil. After thorough mixing, the transesterification reaction occurs, followed by the separation of biodiesel and glycerin. The biodiesel is then washed to ensure purity. The biodiesel offers numerous benefits, is better for the environment, and supports a more sustainable transportation system.
