They are found in a region where the average annual precipitation is high enough to support minimum plant life. Usually only different types of grass and maybe in some areas a few trees.

My plant 1 is purple needle grass or nassella Pulchra. It is well adapted to dry soil and clay soil. Which makes it perfect for grasslands since grasslands can very from being very moist to very dry in different areas. It also grows well in sun or shade which makes it good for the very hot or shady summers. To sum it up purple needle grass is very good at surviving extreme heat or drought, but can also survive clay soil.

(My animal 2 is an aardvark.). Aardvarks don’t actually have many adaptions but here are the small few. Aardvarks have powerful feet and claws, which helps them to dig the burrows they sleep and hide in. It also helps them to get their food (termites and etc.). They can also curl up into a ball which helps them at night to camouflage. (Aardvarks are nocturnal.)

People are the main environmental problem for grasslands. People are building properties on the grasslands, which is reducing food sources and habitat space for animals. When some animals food is reduced the whole grassland food chain is disrupted. Since grasslands are usually flat people tend to take over large areas at a time.
