I chose to watch the "Acid vs lava" video, I found it interesting because lava and acid is one of the destructive liquids in the world and it feels interesting when they faced head to head in a competition. They discuses how acid melts metal, The acid modules are like magnets so they ripped of small pieces of metal, my favourite part is when mark presented the x factor, the x factor is where mark uses a random item in each challenge. Like a group if piranha to a turkey leg.

I watched the video intitled ‘My Secret Warhouse’. Something intresting that I learned was that instead of putting a firmans pole in his secret warehouse like he always wanted. He decided that because firmans poles always hurt your hand or you go down to fast, he invented something called the Fireans Piston. Which is basically a weight that goes down a thin tube slowley depending on your weight. This is called Pneumatics. He then talked about how he and his team had recently just put out a set of mechanic toys that you can build at home while watching his videos, And that there is a chance to find a silver ticket in your toy box, which will then invite you to come to his secret warehouse and sepnd a day building stuff with him!

Mark Rober Bed Bug Video: Trisha Leong

I chose the bed bug video because I've always wondered how bed bugs looked like up close. Even when the video was really disgusting as it also features cockroaches, I still found it cool how Mark Rober showcased these bed bugs up close. I've also learnt that instead of buying expensive pesticides, you just need powdered crumbled rocks or really hot water.

How pesticides worked, the brain of a bed bug, and how bed bugs can be immune to most pesticide chemicals.

How most pesticides don't work. Debunking the assumptions of bed bugs. And the science behind bed bugs.

Mark Rober went to a university where there was this bug scientist named Dr. Wong. They had a peculiar room in the lab called the Bedbug Room. Where they had thousands of bed bugs. Mark Rober wanted to test how fast and how bed bugs feasted on humans. As he got bitten, he noticed how big the bed bugs seemed to get. Fact: Bed bugs that haven't drank blood look flatter and thinner then bed bugs that have drank blood. They look like an inflated balloon!

How do bed bugs gain immunity to pesticides?

I loved and was disgusted on how Mark Rober got bitten by a bed bug. Seeing this scene terrified me, however, I felt like this particular part was the most interesting because I saw how different a fed bed bug looked like to an un fed bed bug!

No, thank you. I have a giant fear of insects now😅

Karsten Amazing Invention, of The delivery drones

I watched the video of where Mark Rober showcases a new drone invention where it can deliver packages and supplies directly where you ordered if from

Scientific concepts that were shown in this video was how the drones were launched, in order for the drones to be flying and their cruising altitude already, they are catapulted at 96 kmph this makes the process faster.

Then the blades on the drone were designed in a V shape to reduce sound but increase speed, the drone also uses GPS to signal and locate where the package needs to be dropped exactly and where it needs to land

The key concept of this video was to help hospital and civilians get what they want quicker, for example, if I fell on the floor and got scratched I can get ointment delivered to me within 2 minutes and as shown in the video, hospitals can order small materials and blood bag

During the video Mark Rober tried himself to load a drone and send it off to a designated location within 90 seconds when he first receives an order, then load up and pack the package, he also then inserts it into the drone and adds the battery to it; finally he inserts the nose cap and launches it

For me, I have 2 questions, Is Zipline only available in Rwanda or is it available in other countries, as I think it would be a huge benefits to other countries

My other question is if it is possible to deliver bigger packages, like would it be possible to deliver a piece of furniture from IKEA or will it reduce speed, as I can see from the video the drone is about 160 cm long

My favourite part of the video was when they interviewed the medical staff at the hospital because they talked about how the drones have saved someone's life, like when it would be slower to drive than to use a drone and fly to the location

I would like to see how much the drone would benefit other countries, for example will it help bigger countries like the USA deliver packages faster for example like Texas is massive so it would cut down time and save gas if the drone is released?

After some time he thought that it was getting sad so he decided to release it into the ocean but to test the octopus's survival skills he put it in a maze.

It demonstrates that octopi and other animals all have a somewhat same bone structure.

No

My favorite part was the transitions between bone structure near the middle.

I wanna eat octopus now, Im really hungry.

SARA

What video did you choose to watch and why did you find it interesting?

This was a thing no one would challenge so it looks very interesting just by looking at the description.

What scientific concepts were discussed in the video?

They were discussing how DNA could be connected into any chapel you wanted.

What were the key points or main ideas presented in the video?

I think the main point was to use the new technology that humans invented and by using that you can make a world smallest nerf gun.

How did the video explain or demonstrate these scientific concepts?

DNA was very often mentioned in this video.

Did the video raise any questions for you? If so, what were they?

if we can use DNA to make things such as the nerf gun may be we could use that as something to replace plastic.

What was your favorite part of the video and why?

my favorite part was the part where Mark Rober broke into the room without a lock I would wan to learn how to do that too.

Has the video inspired you to explore the topic further or would you like to conduct any similar experiments?

Maybe if I have a chance to do some engineering Mark Rober will be a very good video to watch.

I chose to watch the video because it was the most recent and I found it interesting about how an octopus managed to go its way around all the obstacles.

Some scientific topics that were discussed in the video were about the biology of the octopus.

Some points that were shown in the video were about how octopus's think, about how they would release the octopus and also about the different things the octopus would have to go through to get to the end.

The video demonstrated the thought process by putting it through some puzzles to see how it would complete it.

No, all my questions were answered.

My favourite part was when they released the octopus because it was nice to see it let free from where it was captured and also because octopuses don't live for that long.

No, not at the moment.

The video that I chose to watch was 'World's smallest nerf gun shoots an ant'. And I really enjoyed it because I learned so much from it but it wasn't boring at all and they even made the world's smallest nerf gun out of DNA! I found that super cool.

DNA and atoms were the scientific concepts that were discussed in the video.

The main key points discussed in the video are DNA and how nerf guns work.

They explained that you can actually, physically make DNA in a lab and that you use the DNA to create a bunch of tiny little nerf guns! How cool is that?

I don't recall them asking us any questions.

My favourite part of the video is when Mark is making the DNA in the lab.

Although this video was very interesting, personally, it didn't really inspire me to do anything and I don't know if I would enjoy learning about DNA.

Candy Thieves vs Rigged Candy Bowl: By Caden Chiu

What video did you choose to watch and why did you find it interesting?

I chose the video called Candy Thieves vs Rigged Candy Bowl, I think this video is very funny and cool because those candy machines will shock and scare the candy thieves, and also teach them a lesson, not to take more than 1 candy.

What scientific concepts were discussed in the video?

In the video, they were doing data collecting, they were testing some traps, but some of the traps were too dangerous, so they had to pick the safer traps experiments: they test if the traps work. Evidence: they tried catching kids with the candy machine, and it worked, and the kids learned a lesson, not to take more than 1 candy.

What were the key points or main ideas presented in the video?

Some main ideas were using a motor to power the machines and some of the ideas were using human power to make the traps.

How did the video explain or demonstrate these scientific concepts?

The video showed us how the motor worked and connected.

Did the video raise any questions for you? If so, what were they?

My question： What happens when you want to go to the toilet so badly, but you are powering the human-powered candy traps to scare the candy thieves, and there are a lot of candy thieves coming to steal the candy? What do you do? Are there any substitutions?

What was your favorite part of the video and why?

My favorite part of the video is seeing how the candy thieves react when they get tricked, some get scared and some get very mad, this scene was hilarious!

Has the video inspired you to explore the topic further or would you like to conduct any similar experiments?

This video has inspired me to make some machines to trick thieves. I would like to make a cool machine for Christmas and trick Christmas lovers, making them scared and angry!
