The things I learned about the bilingual school in Ecuador is that they are very consistent and strong on teaching about their culture and traditions. The girls wear cute traditional uniforms and have their hair in ponytails with ribbons. When they teach, they use textbooks, a projector, and notebooks like any other school. 
2. The infrastructure that suprised me that they had was a whole computer lab. I was unsure if they could afford it or not. 
3. I wish we had cute uniforms with ribbons in our hair at my school! Also having more patient teachers like the ones in the video. Some make me nervous and feel self conscious when asking a question.
4. My perspective has changed because I now know and understand that they are just like us when learning. 2. And infrastructure that surprised me was the garden. I was surprised because I didn't know that the school was in a rural area, so I didn't think they had enough space for a garden.
3. I wish we had a garden in my school. I think it would be fun to have one because it could be an alternative place to eat, have class, or hang out during the school day.
4. My perspective has changed because the video informed me about the different teaching methods, and what the schools look like there. What I learned from watching the video about the Ecuadorian schools is that they acre about their learning and take it really seriously. I noticed that they take to the next level. They are teaching the kids how to plant crops and how to take care of them.
2. What infrastructure does this school have that surprised you? Why?
The infrastructure that the school has is they have a soccer field where the kids can learn how to play and also do other sports as well. This surprised me because it took it to the next level about seriousness, they want kids to motivated and want them to grow on their passion even if its not sports.

3. What elements of this school do you wish were present in your school? Why?
I wish that we had more of a growing a garden experience, learning how to care for those plants. We do have a gardening club but its not the same a the hands on experience that those other students have. 


4. How has your perspective on schools in Ecuador changed after viewing this video?
Its has always stayed the same, I think that the schools there are amazing and more enthusiastic.

  • I learned that in bilingual schools in Ecuador they learn similar subjects such as math, and science.  Also that they are provided laptops and computers.
  •  I was surprised to see that the schools were big, clean and was a modern style building. I always imagined the schools to be small with tiny classrooms and with a traditional building.
  •  I wished that our school also had a class of gardening not just having one. I think that  this would make us understand nature and how to take care of nature more.

I learned that schools still teach native languages. I think this is very important because the rapid lose of Native American cultures and languages is something that is irreversible. 
    2. The school was very modern. It was also very advanced. It's probably as advanced as most American schools. 
    3. I wish our campus had more amenities. While I don't want the campus to be bigger, things like a student run garden or even a soccer field would be nice.

    1.After watching the video i felt like schools in Ecuador are almost exactly the same as my school, Mercy.  Both schools use the same technology as my school. We have the same resources in general. 
    2. What surprised me about the schools infrastructure was that each classroom was its own separate building. It was an open campus and each classroom had its own individual building.
    3. The school that we watched the video on had a swimming pool, which I thought was really cool. I feel like if we had a swimming pool then that would be fun.
    4. My perspective has really changed after watching the video.
